Videogamer: One game out soon "apparently completely broken" (Assassin's Creed?)

I hope so! You're right, too, Bethesda games tend to the buggy side as opposed to the broken. (I think I've developed a thousand-yard stare from F3 and NV on the PS3. Why did you keep freezing on me, baby, why.)
It was a long known issue that Bethesda games have a problem with the PS3s memory - and this does not exist any more.
On top of that, Todd's RPGs blew skip high with Skyrim. I mean, it sold 20 million copies (something absolutely crazy for an RPG). They certainly got something to lose now. Expectations are extremely high now from both fans and Beth shareholders I imagine.

I'm going with Fallout 4 considering that Fallout New Vegas had so many problems for me I couldn't even finish it.

Maybe Assassin's Creed after the reported problems with Unity?
New Vegas wasnt developed by Bethesda, also I played Fallout 3 at launch on X360 and had zero to no problems.

I highly doubt that Bethesda would release broken game as Skyrim/F3 (PS3 versions) again. Also, most of the time was problem in the size of the save file that caused problems.

Fallout is supposed to be broken, so that would be a moot thing to mention.

My bet is on Syndicate. It's releasing in a month, there has been almost no marketing push and the yearly release cycle was shown to be too straining on the ubisoft conveyor belt last year. But it doesn't matter, because the series has been selling solely on name for years.

My guess is Fallout 4.

Why broken? I bet the crafting/base building stuff will somehow make the game chug randomly because the engine can't handle it.

after the halo mcc...halo 5 >>?

Something about the launch will probably go horribly wrong. Halo MCC didn't work
and still doesn't 45 weeks in
and Halo 4 had filesharing issues and issues with some of its season pass content being given away for free.
this.

or tony hawk.

Fallout 4? Hell naw.

FO4 cannot be broken. They know the engine inside out, have super powerful hardware to work with now and lots and lots of time for development after FO3.

I predict FO4 to be pretty game breaking bug free with none of the 0 fps problems like FO3 had on PS3.

What about MCC still doesn't work?

I thought it was fixed? I haven't played in a while, but my last game of H2 MP was fine.

If only there was someone who's job was to shed light on these things.

Oh well.

They are probably on NDA, and I'm pretty sure when their review hits they will adress the issues.

I'm not going to guess on the game. But it seems they were able to play a review copy of it, so it's probably something that releases in just a few weeks.

In the Patreon-exclusive extra podcast, they mention these games as ones they're looking forward to without any allusions to them being broken:

Rise Of The Tomb Raider
Fallout 4
Star Wars: Battlefront

So I think these can be discounted.

So yeah, it's Pro Skater 5.

One thing FO4 probably didn't have is rushed development...

It has to be Pro Skater 5, it has always looked very rough.

I'm going to go with EA and Battlefront again; 343 and Ubisoft, we know for a fact have been testing the fuck out of their games lately, as evidenced by the constant leaks over the past year.

We already played the CoD beta, and that was completely solid as per usual.

Rise of the Tomb Raider, I highly doubt. Fallout 4 will be run of the mill Bethesda jank, but I doubt anything that will severely diminish playability. Assassin's Creed, not likely.. It'll have jank for sure, some frame rate issues that people will overreact about.

EA is literally the only guys who I'm not sure have shown up to the party.

I would bet on the big bug ridden mess this year being Tony Hawk. They are being very quiet about that game, and it is clearly an afterthought for Activision. It won't be AC, as it would kill the franchise, and they have been showing old builds of the game at trade shows that already run better than Unity did at launch. I also highly doubt Battlefront will have many issues. They are having an open Beta more than a month before launch. They would not be putting the game into the hands of millions of people if it was a broken mess. I'm sure Fallout will be just as buggy as past Bethesda games, but far from broken. I could possibly see NFS having issues, but that is also getting a Beta, and I think the current EA would rather delay the reboot of one of their core franchises before release it broken.

Why doesnt he mention the name? Afraid they will no longer get free stuff? If you know things, why let us buy a bad product?

Come on man, you know that's not how it works. Nda's are in place. If you don't want a broken product, don't pre-order.

It's gone from broken to playable but buggy.

Certainly not perfect but it works.

Halo 5 is a very different story though. MCC was a cobbled together mess of 4 different game engines made by 4 or 5 devs.

H5 had a fairly stable beta over 10 months before launch, it's been played by countless people at multiple events without any word of the game having issues and it's being developed in-house at 343.

That's what we're calling broken games now?

Could be hyperbolic talk by Videgamer.

They may just mean loads of bugs. It'll be crazy if a game's gone gold and it's legitimately broken.

Skyrim had a bug where whenever you stepped in water the console would lock up so it depends what you consider 'broken'.

The Skyrim PS3 and Fallout 3 PS3 version fuck up was because Bethesda was simply not capable of porting a game to PS3.

This Gen we have two consoles that are nearly the same when it comes to porting. Even trough PS4 is more powerful it will still be a 1:1 copy of Xbone version (without the exclusive feature) because Bethesda is in bed with Microsoft (Mods only for Xbone users).

I could be wrong, but I doubt it's AC. Ubisoft threw a ton of people at Syndicate, scaled down the game, and cut multiplayer to make sure it was a polished product this year.

Really? This is giving me flashbacks of the time Tamaki claimed to be talking about leaks on a Patreon-exclusive podcast and he got people to pay for it.

I really hope it is not Divinity: Original Sin for PS4 and XB1 - that would break my heart :(

But i can't really think of that games like Battlefront and H5 are broken... :(

Tony hawk is the first thing that came to mind... Maybe battlefront...

There's no way in hell its AC:Syndicate or Halo 5... There's way too much riding on those titles...

There's no point bringing up Fallout or Bethesda games in general since they're always rushed, barely QA'd games with glitches and are generally broken right on launch.

I'm thinking it's Tony Hawks.

Kl, I'll put this in the OP.

It ran like crap because the PS3 had a insanely small amount of system ram. It was such a problem that Sony did what the 360 did and went for unified ram in the PS4
