Vigilante 8: Arcade announced for XBLA

Online play is to be expected, but I'm thankful they didn't forget the 4 player splitscreen. Way too many 360/PS3 games don't have local multiplayer nowadays.

I rocked at this game back in the day.

Geez how many hours I put into it.

Hidden specials were the best. Rocket that could stick to a car and send them flying.

Only shitty thing was wonky and totally bad physics. I'm not talking about unrealistic, it was plain bad. Worst when the car is almost fliping. It's like theres some trampoline in the roof that makes the car wobble and fly in unpredictable direction. Hope they fix that.

Never expected that to come to 360.

Holy shit, I was thinking of this game when I was reading the Twisted Metal thread a few days ago and couldn't remember the name. Day 1!

They should follow this up with a full next-gen remake of Interstate '76, I loved that game (far more than Vigilante 8)
Signed. Initialed. Dated. Notorized. Sealed. Sent via Registered Mail.

It stinks that the school bus is MIA, but other than that, yeah, day one purchase. :D

Eight vehicles, though... I hope there's more via DLC...

+1 sold

This is awesome news! I loved the Vigilante 8 series. Vigilante 8: Second Offense was particularly awesome on the Dreamcast.

What was awesome about V8 was after the match loaded, you could put in any audio cd and it would play tracks during the game.

If you're surprised you haven't been paying attention to the XBLA topic (and xblah.net ;) )

Looks great though! Can't wait! :D
