Can't argue with you there... Regardless of your personal feelings regarding the riots, they are certainly bringing more attention to his death than the original story did.

You don't know what a food desert is. Food Desert doesn't mean there is literally no food there.

It means the stores available don't offer healthy food. They have bodegas but they just sell crappy food.

Rioting and looting accomplish a lot.

Change will come, and come rapidly, if people and property are in danger.

I'm using harsher phrasing for a point. I care a lot about this topic because the country is going to shit but trying to make someone feel terrible because they are worried about their safety in a volatile situation is sickening and there's no excuse for it.

Are you being a parody right now? Black, white, whatever color what going on in the street right now is animals plain and simple.

I'm a realist, when I was 25 (and younger) I hung out with the wrong crowd, did the wrong things and hung out at spots that where just asking for trouble. Cops was an everyday thing. If you're doing something dumb, breaking the law, whether it be selling drugs, smoking week out in the open, getting into brawls with other kids, you're putting yourself in a position where the probability of you having an altercation with the police, higher than someone who follows the law.

He may not have a gun on him, but he had a blade on him, he has run ins with the cops before, did he have gang ties, is this kid even innocent? It's always this 'he was a good boy' parade out the baby face picture ect ect


It's only going to get worst tonight, and that's not fair to the people not involved with this situation. Plus the whole nation is watching, and it's embarrassing

Your apathy and not giving a shit is the reason why it's at your doorstep now, so this would be an opportune time to listen to the posters that are telling you why this is happening, and if the only feeling you can conjure up after knowing that black people are being targeted, beaten, and killed by law enforcement with society is enabling it is "what about meeeee", then you are deserving of any dismissive comments made towards you.

Every moron watching Fox News right now must be jerking off and salivating and going "See! Look what happens when you let these monkeys walk all over us! They're animals!" I can hear it now, all over America.

If my spine was crushed and I was murdered by police, I'd hope people would riot for me too. Because it's fucking disgusting what the police in this country get up to, and they need to be punished severely.

Your post is so wrong on several counts. You have a higher probability of having an altercation with police if you're black regardless of conduct. The media more often plays up the criminal past than "oh he was a good boy" angle. And nothing he did justified his death.
