Visiting Prague soon, Gaf I need advice

So I'm gonna be in Prague with my wife for the first time at the beginning of july. We're staying there for 4 days and the main reason for visiting is the Guns N Roses concert.

I need advice about the best hot spots in this beautiful town. So Gaf, what should I visit during my stay there?

I'm really interested in the best historic sites and the best restaurants the town has to offer. Also, something about traditional cousine would be much appreciated.

The GnR concert is gonna be held at Letnany Airport. What are my best options for hotels/motels in this case? Is it hard or complicated to get there?

Thanks a lot!!

The castle is a must-see but get there super early, well before it opens, or the lines to get in will be hours and hours long. Same with Charles Bridge, aim to get there early in the morning to beat the crowds or it will be almost impossible to move between the tourists and hawkers and sellers.

Otherwise, the best thing to do is just walk around Old Town. I can't help with accommodation or meals because I stayed in hostels and did it on the cheap. It's a wonderful city, just be prepared for tourists galore.

I've been in Prague last week.
Definitely visit Vyserahd castle. Great view over the city, nice parks and much less touristy than the usual spots. There's also a very good small restaurant nearby where we had dinner, it was called "U Kroka" I think. I highly recommend that one. You may need to make a reservation though, it's pretty popular.

The place had some of the best food my gf and myself ate.
We did a food tour that had a lot of good shit.
Look up Sisters open faced sandwich shop, try a lot of their open faced sandwiches and lime and elderflower drink. Right across from that is a butcher where they are cutting meat all day, cook it there for you if you want, and also have a beer tap with unlimited beer.

There was also some Michelin star restaurant we went to that was really good. There is a small tower where old town meets new town, can't remember the name, but you can go up that tower and get a really nice sausage soup.

Finally I recommend going to the Louvre Cafe to eat the traditional Czech Sunday dinner, Svickova, which is one of the nicest Sunday dinners I've ever had.
Enjoy, place is amazing. One of my favourites.

Don't bother getting the beer with marijuana leaves on it, I dunno if there is cannabis in it, but it definitely didn't get me high.

I stayed in the historic part of Prague and it was awesome. There are some great and authentic restaurants all over the area and they are super cheap too.

We'll be going by car as we have no other choice and I saw a youtube tutorial regarding parking which scared the crap out of me. Is it extremely hard to find parking spaces? Are there hotels who offer parking included in the room price?

Thanks everyone for the tips.

Can I shamelessly bump this? Also headed to Prague for a month. Would love to hear other people's recommendations

One of my favorite places to visit. Definitely visit the old town of Prague.

Definitely don't bother with any of that fake absinthe or drug culture stuff. It's just a tourist scam. Prague Castle, Old Town, and Charles Bridge are all iconic things to do and well worth it.

Kafka museum was great. Even if you don't like him or are familiar with him, atleast checkout the statue in front of it.

Also recommend the Old Jewish Cemetery. Fascinating place.

Was there in March. Old Town is amazing, Old Town Square is great to wander around and make sure to stop by the Astronomical Clock in the Old Town Square. If you happen to be near the clock at the top of the hour, stop to watch the show. It's nothing amazing, but it's impressive for how old it is. Charles Bridge is crowded but great, and I'd highly recommend going to the Castle if only to check out that beautiful Cathedral and stroll through the park where the moat of the castle used to run (which was closed when I was there :[ ), and the Castle District, in general, is a great place to just walk around and take in the amazing architecture.
