Vita Game Videos From e3 Show Floor

Oh, I think every PS3 game that can be given life on both platforms should, at least if it's feasible and as easy to do as Sony claims it is. I just think that a thread that seems reactionary to the "Vita is doomed" vibe of GAF is pretty weakly countering said vibe with games that can be found elsewhere.

I think this thread is an answer to Sony's missing Vita presentation segment. That's why it only shows games on the E3 showfloor. If people really want to address the "Vita is doomed" vibe, they would not limit themselves to these titles only.

I'm still wondering how they could give the Vita so little time.... but I assume Jack and Yoshida are mad

Part of the problem was they actually cut their conference time down (discussed in this interview from MCV)

Are you happy with the Vita’s first showing at E3?

Well, actually, I got lots of tweets to my account complaining that there weren’t many PS Vita games being talked about. In retrospect, we should’ve spent more time showing and talking about our PS Vita titles.

We have 25 PS Vita games playable on the show floor, some of which are really great titles I’m very excited about. We could have spent more time talking about those, but we had a very clear intention this year to make the total press conference shorter, because we’re notorious for holding lengthy ones.

I hope we accomplished that with this year’s conference (which I think lasted about 80 minutes), but from the perspective of people who are waiting for more information on Vita titles, we weren’t able to provide that.

I’m hoping that journalists are looking at the games on the show floor and getting the word out that way.

honestly, I'm not sure what difference it would make if Sony showed that sizzle reel or do a couple demo of vita games in the press conference. there are a lot of games on show floor and sizzle reel, but really, most of it is already announced or known. if they spent time showing demo of those games, it's probably met with 'meh' reaction because the press is hoping for new unannounced big games for Vita.

It's fairly telling about how serious SCEA is taking this platform when every single one of their upcoming Vita games also has a PS3 version.

I'm a fan of cross-play, saves, and cross-talk. I guess I don't mind the parity.

I wouldn't mind the parity alongside exclusive content. Right now we're only getting parity from SCEA, and while that's great for owners of both devices, it's hard for someone who doesn't own a Vita to say they want to jump in.

"some of which are really great titles"

:lol at least he is honest. I'm still waiting for that killer app and about 150 price point to pick one of these up. Payed 150 for my psp go, 150 seems about right for a vita given the quality of games and the hardware.

Yeah, people were expecting like 5 new titles being showcased out of nowhere. If they showed a reel of games we already knew about, everyone would still be bitching. They'd still have come to the same Kanye conclusion (that sony doesn't care about Vita people).

Would you say that LittleBigPlanet & Gravity Rush aren't unique enough? LBP, while an established franchise, has a lot of unique features and a completely new campaign for the platform, and GR is an entirely new IP. Would continued games like those two abate those kind of worries?

And of course there is Ragnorak Odyssey, persona 4 remake, AC3 liberation, and.COD Declassified as well. There is original and exclusive content coming this year as well.

None of those games are from SCEA. The entirety of SCEA's Vita lineup is also part of SCEA's PS3 lineup.

Gravity Rush, Soul Sacrifice, MGS HD Collection, Assasin's Creed Liberation, Little Big Planet, Youtube, PS1 stuff, Street Fighter X Tekken, Sound Shapes, Sine Mora, Jet Set Radio, Oddworld...

A lot of stuff I'm interested in, but I still have launch stuff to buy as soon as I finish all the games I'm playing.

Dude, what the hell!? You forgot Ragnarok Odyseey, Persona 4, Snapshot, Guacameele, Final Fantasy X HD, Phantasy Star Online 2, Sly 4, Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, Retro City Rampage and Z.O.E HD.

None of you seem to realise that EVEN IF they spent all that time showing all these games on the show floor it would not have done shit about people worrying about the vita's future because no NEW games were announced, which is the real reason why so many people are pissed off. That's what several gaming sites and fans were waiting for, yeah they spent next to no time on the vita in the conference but know that I've seen all these show floor games and the upcoming titles, I'm no less worried than when I was watching the conference. We knew beforehand there would be a new assassins creed and call of duty on it. What is worrying is that no new announcements were made to show that the vita had support and would continue to have a plethora of releases for 2013 and onwards. Let's hope that TGS changes that.
EDIT: Before any one responds with a stupid list of upcoming vita releases, yes i know what games are coming for it and I'll be buying many of them such as sound shapes, gravity rush and persona 4 golden. The future of the system however seems very uncertain.

*drools* P4G and PSO2 will be enough to last me a couple of years. P4 is one of those games I'm always replaying, and I played PSO for several years on Dreamcast and then GCN.

don't ever change, man :) ...

so, unique entries of existing series (uncharted, resistance) isn't enough - you want some original scea-produced vita-exclusive ips? well, i can't remember a whole lotta them for the psp, either, but it never got in my way, particularly. sure, it'd be nice, but there's more than enough other stuff already here or coming (from whomever) to keep some of us happy. sorry it makes you sad/mad...

It's not necessarily a bad thing as long as we also have exclusive Vita titles, and new IPs. It's up to Sony how they want to divide up their work. I don't really care if a title comes from SCEE or SCEA or SCEJ.

I'm not asking for exclusive new IPs, I'm just asking for exclusive games, and right now everything SCEA makes on Vita is also on PS3.

Like Gravity Rush and the other non-PS3 games?
