ARGH HALP ME GUYS!
I was playing Persona and paused the game to grab something to eat and now my Vita won't wake up. The PS button is at a constant blue and I don't know what to do!
EDIT: It has a name: Blue Light of Death! Dammit. Don't tell me my week old Vita is breaking. I pressed the turn off button for about 30 seconds and restarted it that way, but geez. That scared me. I hope it doesn't happen again.
Is this normal ??

Hold down the power button for a while. Then power it back on. If it doesn't then turn it on while holding the R and home buttons then rebuild database.
Hopefully, you haven't played P4G for too long.

Well, a bit of digression but I got my 3DS XL today, with no games. Couldn't log in to the eshop for some reason, except for a half hour interval where I was only able to download a video of a link between worlds. Definitely not a good first impression. Gotta find a physical game tomorrow.
But yeah, hardware wise there is a world of difference compared to the vita. I am honestly surprised it costs the same as the vita.

Vita is a bargain imo. That's why I'm so tempted to pick up second ones when they do those bundles, even though I'm living on borrowed money
And a second one is a bit too luxurious for me! One vita does nicely (just reminding myself).

This also happened to me a while ago. I was so scared of what happened because I thought there was a problem on my screen cause I can still hear what's happening on the game but my screen's turned off. Turned it on and off for a few times and it was back to normal. Happened while I was downloading Sonic Racing too so I had to repeat the download. :/
Enjoy one of the greatest games on the PSX/N64/Saturn era. Probably even one of the greatest up to now.
All displays? Mine has mura, but it doesn't bother me because you can only see it when the screen is black.
What are you planning on getting? Might as well give into ALBW, right?

Well, first 2 games I am gonna get are SMT4 and Pokemon Y.
I am not actually a fan of Zelda, so I'll wait for a cheap used copy. May get Mario 3D Land, since there was a thread about it today, and people seemed to like it. Only other game I want on the 3DS is Fire Emblem. Beyond that, I'd probably wait for a sale on the lesser known titles.
SOTN is the best game of its kind. I have never played a better metroidvania. But maybe that is nostalgia speaking.

Mura is a natural 'defect' of the OLED screens and is inconsequential when playing games while a stuck pixel isn't and it also isn't a defect only on OLED screens but all screens in general though it has a low chance of occurring.
There are some ways of removing it though. One of those is the constant switching of the colors in the screen or just using it normally. Constant changes on the LEDs around the defective part should 'restart' that LED and make it function normally. The catch is that it doesn't always work so a stuck pixel is a very frustrating thing to have IMO especially if it's an eye catching color.

There are more SMT games on the 3DS, I think (Devil Survivor and Devil Summoner?). And if you haven't the DS there is Strange Journey. Bravely Default too, and Tales of the Abyss 3DS. I'm only listing the games I'm interested myself xD.
I'm surprised, Sony has actually sent me something like a "christmas gift". There is a PS Mini, a good discount in Sly Trilogy (which I want to get, Sly1 is one of my favorite PS2 games) and 60 days of Music Unlimited (which I'll try). It could be better, but hey, I've spent a good amount of money in PSN this year xD.
Does somebody want a few online Soul Sacrifice matches tonight? I'm actually like 8/1, so I'll only play with new players. (Tonight = In 4 hours or a little more xD)

I suppose if the Vita ports of the console games do well those could come over too. I'm not big on the idea of paying what will likely be the original console MSRP though.
Seriously? Man, Sony needs to revamp this janky OS. It's really the only thing I dislike about the Vita.

Seriously. Sorry man but I don't know any other way for it to work other than that. The wifi shouldn't work anyway if you haven't plugged it on a wall and is on standby mode for a few minutes. Unless Sony addresses this issue on the next update, that'll be the only solution to it.
Edit: you should do what bobby, below, said if you haven't already. It's what I'm talking about when it isn't plugged and is on standby for a few minutes.
Try to go to powersave settings and turn on the option to use the vita in wifi powersave mode.
This option switches off the wifi after a period of non activity. This should log you out of PSN.
I got Mario 3D Land for free for registering my system and a game. I'm not sure if that's still going on, and if it's an EU only thing but I'd look into it. It's a digital copy of course.
Edit: Apparently it's EU only, sorry.

So I got a vita for christmas. I signed up for a year of PS+. It wont let me use the cloud storage option, even though I downloaded several games through PS+. Every time I select it on the application management menu, it tells me I need PS+. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Yes, just like the shoulder buttons. The shoulder buttons are an anomaly on that great piece of hardware imo, feels so janky and cheap

Didn't like how the game ended. Felt like it just ended randomly and there should have been at the very least 10 more missions. Too much unanswered. Maybe GR2 will answer some questions I had.
Triggers could be a heck of a lot better. The only thing that I didn't feel was much of an upgrade from my original PSP.

My point was, why not both? By all accounts, Joe Danger Touch is a good game and any control methods it took on iOS can be replicated on Vita.
There's too many people trying to access the eShop at the same time. Supposedly it's like this every xmas. :/

I agree with you! I don't see why Sony doesn't angle for more "cheap" games and position Vita as a machine that has £20 first party games, £1 experiences (angry birds, touch games, whatever) and go from there.
If every first party effort from Sony was priced like Tearaway I'd probably get them all..

I remember buying the PS1 disc when I got a ps2 (never had a ps1) and being so excited to play it.
I still haven't played it... I need to get on that. I wish there was a way I could play the ps1 disc on my vita.
my biggest gaming regrets are never playing some of the great classics of the ps1 and ps2 era. Actually why I like the HD remasters, gives a reason to play through them (I love trophies)
You can buy the PS1 classic DD for Vita.
