hyp said:so i take it you're enjoying it then?
sonarrat said:Oh yes. The game is much more appealing inside than on the outside.

Orodreth said:Question again for everyone and specially for the ones with highest levels in the game ( or axxxj if you read it ). Has any of your pinatas achieved a constant toped "happy-meter"? or is it possible at all?
8bit said:How do I rename a pinata? Something in the interface is eluding me.
Tieno said:How do you guys design your garden? Do you have your plants and whatnot in one part and fence of animals...or do you let them roam free? One big pool?
I'd really like to visit some garders to get some ideasI really hope Rare is able to put this in! They should do competitions (voting) for the best/most elegant designed garden (doesn't mean most expensive) and stuff like that.
Tieno said:What about fights? I cut my garder in the middle with a hedge, but it doesn't do much cause I have to leave the gates open for my helpers. Do some pinatas just always fight? Or is it because they don't have enough space?
Lost track of time yesterday and played till 2am in the morning!
Sean said:I don't think its possible and it's not important either as far as I know... I've got to level 80 with most of my pinatas halfway happy.
Schafer said:How the hell do you get apples off of an apple tree? I've had one for like 2 hours and I've never seen an apple on it or near it. I've tried tapping it with a shovel, watering it, fertilizing it, and nothing.
What the hell am I missing?

Love sweets only work when you've romanced the species (or is that particular pinata?) before.MicVlaD said:Just got the game, played it for an hour or two and I've been wondering:
- How can you feed the love sweets to your residents? I remember Leafos saying that I should put it in front of them and they will automatically eat it, but my Sparrowmints kept ignoring it. Also tried directing them with the A button, but to no avail.
- Is there a way to store items somewhere? I've got a couple of vegetables I'd like to keep so I can lure other piñata's (such as the mouse) and I hate how they're currently unprotected (haven't boughed any fences yet for a "private garden").
Man. I'm level 30 and knew shit about fertilizing trees. ThanksSean said:I had this problem at first too. Trees have to be fertilized a bit differently then plants. With plants you can fertilize them three times in a row right away, but with trees you have to wait a bit and fertilize at certain times. It's kinda hard to explain but I'll try:
1) First fertilizer (red fertilizer for the apple tree) can be done right after the tree is planted (make sure to water it as well).
2) The next one you'll have to wait around 2 minutes or so - you'll know when you see it stop growing (if you look closely at it you can see it moving... you can hold the R trigger and move the camera to get a closer look on the tree) or you might see leaves fall off it.
3) After you fertilize it the 2nd time you'll see it start to grow again. When it stops do it a third (and final) time and it'll become a full grown healthy tree that produces lot of fruits...
Dang, I assumed they'd work on species who haven't romanced yet. If the Whirlms are any indication, I don't see why I should buy the love sweets 'cause the heart above a piñata remains after a romance dance.Tieno said:Love sweets only work when you've romanced the species (or is that particular pinata?) before.

One more thing though:
- Is there a way to store a template of a label design? I noticed that the offsprings of a piñata that does have a label, carry it over after their birth, but I haven't found anything yet that saves my template or automatically transfers it to new residents.

Sean said:I think you have to be level 30 or so to get it. It's kinda expensive, like 12,000 coins but its worth it.
There's no other way to stop him, hitting him with the shovel does nothing.
Orodreth said:The houses maximum is 10 at the same time then?
Sean said:There is a free Viva Pinata gamerpicture just put on XBL Marketplace - but for two days only. So get it now if you want it.
Brashnir said:I'm surprised you're allowed that many. I don't think I've ever had more than 4 in my garden at a time, and even that seemed way too crowded.

I know it's not perfect but tbh I'm struggling to think of one genuinely bad thing about this game. It's a bit clunky to move through the buy/sell menus...and I think that's my only complaint.
It's so sad when a Pinata dies though. I'm trying to romance two of the rabbits but a wild snake keeps coming along to eat one of them. Luckily though that makes the snake a resident, meaning I can sell it immediately for $600:lol
