Whats the invisible pinata bug?

Pinatas and i think also elements that become invisible, like ghosts, so they are there wandering around the garden but you cant see them so its difficult to select, feed etc...

Is it possible to send bushes in crates? If so can anybody send me some Nightshade bushes?Or even better some fruit from the tree?

Lol wtf... Tinker is stuck in a loop :(

You know when he goes back to his house, he puts his hat down and jumps in it right? Well on my screen he just reappears when he jumps in and then he puts his hat down again and jumps in it, and then he keeps doing the same thing over and over so I can't tinker anything anymore :(.

And yesterday, all of a sudden I couldn't use anything anymore! I couldn't sell nothing, didn't have my shovel/watering can/grass at all!

What the hell is with this game Rare, patch this shit up !!!!

That sucks. My gatherling got stuck by a tree one time. I spent like half an hour trying to get her unstuck. I would have just left her there, but she kept making these "mmm.. hmm? iunno" sounds every 10 seconds. I sold everything within 6' of her, dug and filled ponds, nothing worked. Her happiness went to zero, I tried to kill her with my shovel and was just about to give up and start a new garden when I tried one last thing. The helper house, which was about 10' away from her, was the reason she was stuck. I sold it, and immediately she began patrolling again, not really doing any work.

Good times

I'm sorry dude. I don't know what's up with your game. I havn't run into any problems besides helpers sometimes not figuring out how to get out of my garden.

Ah well, I started a new garden and everything seems to be fine now..let's just hope it stays that way :)

So can you sell the Dragonache and get another one? I want a gold one :)
http://pinataisland.info/index.php?title=Dragonache

The type of Dragonache you get depends on what type of land it's hatched on, so it looks like you'll have to get rid of him and hope for another egg. According to that page you can't sell them but just dismiss them from your garden. I don't know if another egg would ever show up in those circumstances, he seems like a complicated beast.

Hmm yeah it's fully matured already, so I can sell it for 11000 coins. Just wondering if I can get another egg that way ^^

When I turned my 360 on this morning I noticed a side ad for something to do with VP on Valentines Day. Is it just another set of accessories?

I think they are just advertising "send your valentine a pinata" on valentines day, because you know, viva pinata is for girls, right microsoft?

I just got the cocoadile & mallowolf achievements ( hilarious pinatas btw ).

Just one more. master evolver, to finally have them all.

Is the cocoadile awesome? I've seen him outside my garden but I'm not a high level for one to visit. I'm currently working on getting the Dragum Fly to be a resident.

You got a Pigxie yet? Or that one that requires horstachio master romancer?

Yep, got the pixie today also.

For the master evolver still have to get the zumbug (horstachio) and the fourheads.

Both cocoadile and mallowolf are awesome. They´re hilarious to watch moving around or groaning.

The dragunfly was a pain to get ( specially the 3rd requirement ).

Awesome, I have something to look forward to then. I have easy access to Reddhott's, is it just difficult to get them to fight or is it difficult for the Dragum Fly to actually win the fight?

My difficulty came with getting enough bullrushes in the garden. They have a pretty short lifespan, so a lot of time they'd start dying off before the dragumfly would enter the garden.

It can get problematic, as platypotamus said, because the big number of bullrushes needed so some can die in the worst moment or as it happened to me i had some taflies eating them.

The problem with the fight is that if the dragumfly looses, you cant cure it because it still is wild, and eventually Dastardos comes and breaks it so you have to wait for another.

Btw, the sour cocoadile requirements to become resident are quite difficult also. The mallowolf is much more easier to get.

I can send you a fourhead :). Do you want one? What's your GT?

My gt is Orodreth Eol. I was planning on get them by myself but would be wellcome.

Let me know what kind of pinatas you want in return.

Mh... has anyone else noticed animals walking around the garden which don't seem to belong to any known breed? I've seen some kind of goat and something that looked a bit like a buzzlegum but didn't seem to have any wings. Strange thing is that they'd never been introduced before like all the other breeds. And I'm pretty sure that I've seen both only once. I'm level 62 or something, in case that matters.

Is there some way to get them into my garden? Or are they just easter eggs or maybe unlocked by a later update or something?

I believe those are wildcards. I've yet to see any though.

I'll have to do a different garden for the cocoadile, as my main water based garden is filled with Juicygeese and if I remember right, Swana's and Juicygeese don't get along at all. I really haven't had any problems keeping bullrushes alive on the other hand.

Pinatas on a DS is a possibility,
"I think it's fair to say that we're going to continue to invest in that property," Shane Kim, one of Microsoft Game Studios' corporate vice presidents, told 1UP last week. "Whether that is in the form of a sequel, a product line extension or through merchandising, whatever the case may be, that's something that we're going to stick with." He also said "a Kameo or a Viva Piñata on a DS makes a lot of sense".

Swananas seem to also dont go well with quackberries or the other way around. I got a pair of quaks to make resident my second cocoadile and they started to fight with the swananas. I could use the hunter to catch the 2nd cocoadile but prefered to get it the other way and also keep the quackberries in the garden ( their house is great ).

I also got a lot of fights between the pigxie and rashberries/swananas ( had to get it out of the garden)

I tried putting a rainbow item, which seems to prevent fights, but didnt work much at all.

Let me know if you need something.

Would be wellcome to my just bought DS but dont know how it could work or what they would do. I´m not a graphic whore but a lot of the pinatas appeal, apart from the strategic hook, is in its design, art style, graphics and animation.

Yesterday i played again for a good amount of time just decorating and designing the cocoadiles garden, nothing else, no achievements or prizes hunting, looking around at the great garden sorroundings and wanting to have more accesories and constructions to customize the garden even more.

I've found that if I want a specific species, its much easier for me to start a garden with one major species in mind and build it around that. My latest garden was started with getting Horstachio's and ultimately the Chewnicorn in mind, but then I realized if I add water I can also attract Swanas and get the Cocoadile (its nothing to breed a Sweetooth in another garden I have and import it to the newest one). So instead of trying to deal with gardens with 5-6 different species I have gardens with 2-3 different types and its been much easier to manage.
My fiancee tamed the Macaraccoon last night in her profile, and that thing is awesome. She was wondering if anyone had an extra Galagoogoo they wouldn't mind parting with, she's got a pretty good range of Pinatas she could trade. She also wanted me to ask if anyone here that still plays would add her. Her gamertag is mimi merlot

I was addicted to the game until I founded out:

1) Fertilizer. Grows stuff 3X larger means easy making money.

2) Profile and achievements stays with your old and new garden. Makes getting piñatas so freaking easy since you can just dedicate a whole new garden just for attracting and converting one. Once you get the piñata, load your old game and add him to the mix.

Side note: I also got stuck with Tinker continuously jumping into his hat bug.

Is the game still sold with that weird ass special edition case or can i find a regular case?

I can't bring myself to buy the game with that ugly ass case. Sad i know! :lol

Going back to the invisible Pinata glitch... I think I may have one but I have no idea how to find it. The Pinata in question doesn't appear in my Resident Pinata list, but I'm positive I've been glitched. It was a Macaracoon that never returned after a factory challenge, and I haven't had a factory challenge show up since then (it was about 20 hours game-time ago). I know it's there because when I open the Garden Space in the journal it still shows a Macaracoon icon when there are none in my garden. Any ideas on how I can find this damn thing?

Its strange because it should still be one of your resident pinatas if there are no wild maca around the garden.

Do you have the maca master romancer ? if no, you could try to get 6 and see if you get the award. Can´t think of anything else.

As for people discussing whether or not this game has been successful, I think it's actually early to claim one way or another.

I'm trying to remember but I don't recall Pokemon or Yu Gi Oh being huge right from the start. MS only needs this game to be 10% of those phenomenons to be a huge hit.

The key point is that I think it will take a 360 price drop before VP can really be attainable by the market it's intended for, and the TV show hasn't even been released anywhere but the USA as far as I know...(or has it??)

I agree, I think viva could be a hit if the moms, daughters and the like were able to pick it up on a whim.. ala something cheaper then a wii. Its just sad to see it 'tank', and microsoft not do anything about it. There marketing is pathetic sometimes.

I saw it at Best Buy in a regular case earlier this week, so they're out there.

I've taken a few break from playing for the past few days, I had Tuesday and Wednesday off from work due to snow and ice and played a ton. I'm up to level 36 now (I think) and have my first Chewnicorn resident. I was working on getting a Fizzlybear as well but it was too picky when it came to the resident requirements, it would wander in, eat the honey and a handful of fir cones, but never enough to become a resident and just enough that it wouldn't visit again.

I earned Master Romancer before it got lost. I don't know what to do. It's frustrating that I'm not getting factory challenges anymore. It's making getting the Master Pinata Value achievement a real pain.

Dont worry about that. Pinata Value achievements become easy once you get high level pinatas.

For getting factory challenges again you can try creating a new secondary garden and moving some of the pinatas of the first one.

I think I'm pretty high level, and I'm just having the hardest time trying to get it. I have Chewnicorns and Elephanillas, but even when I load them with accessories the highest I can get is like 9,600. I guess I'll have to start a new garden on the side since Factory challenges are the only way I know of that boosts value. Or am I missing something? Is there another way to boost value?

Can anyone offer any advice on taming the Bonboon? I had read that evolved Syrupents had a better chance of beating it in battle, but it made fairly short work of my Twingersnap. Should I just breed and army of Twingersnaps and wish for the best?

You almost got it. Other way to gain a bit of value is the happiness meter and feed it a joy candy, but it usually is about 200 extra only.

The rest of parameters ( twin, etc...) dont know yet.

Anyway, i also got the achievement with a chewnicorn loaded with accesories. Move it to the new garden and send it with the first factory challenge and you´ll get it.

Havent tamed the bonboon yet but read that about twingersnaps. Keep trying.

You may also think about putting the twingersnap some accesories that seem to give pinatas a boost in "defense". Dont know for sure if it works at all but there are some (like the hardness halo or a helmet) that by the description seem to help with that.

Btw, theres another new accesory pack, the 7th.

Hello gents.

I know this has been asked & answered a thousand times by now, but I recently reached level 15 & all my Pinata started to fight each other.

I ended up selling everything & starting over, but everytime I have more than 5 different Pinatas they start fighting again.

What am I doing wrong?

Make sure you have no Thistles near your piñatas. They make them angry...

Thanks.

I only have 2 thistles plant though & my flower garden is behind a fence.

Can too many of the same Pinata cause fights?

No, unless the garden becomes too populated which eventually could make them sad/unconfortable.

The problem with too many pinatas also, if they are big, is that they will constantly step over the small ones and piss them off.
