Walmart.com: 360 in stock, NO BUNDLES

So, I ordered one, too, along with all the other hopefuls, and received a cancellation email on Friday afternoon. So, fast forward to today, Sunday morning, and I've suddenly received an "order shipped" email from Wal-mart.com!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Well if its some automated computer malfunction it would have no control over charging me and I have been charged the full amount.
 
I also got my shipped confirmation. Very impressed with the way WalMart and MS have handled this. 90% of the time, internet deals like this are cancelled. I also think that things must be going pretty good with 360 manufacturing and there should be at least one or two more shipments before Xmas.
 
I just checked the board for the first time since yesterday and saw that there were like 150 new posts on this thread. I was fearing that could only mean mass cancellations, but it turns out they're shipping the things. :lol

Fuck yeah! I'm glad for you guys. Walmart FTW!

Yeah, they've recieved the paper work and have assigned a tracking number. APX probably doesn't opperate on weekends, so they haven't actually gone to Walmart's warehouse to pick up the packages yet. They'll probaby actually ship out on Monday.
There will be a lot of sad people come monday..

Woa... it says it will cost 400 dollars shipping, subtotal of 800!

Obviously a mistake.

According to what some have been told over the phone, they are sold out. For some reason, they can't set the correct status on the item... so they put the 400$ shipping to discourage buyers.

If that ends up being the case thats beyond fucked up and I'LL SUE WHOOOOOO!

Also if its auto generated why do some people have UPS or Fed Ex insead of APX? It also wouldnt explain why the billing department charged some of us the full amount and also some of us never got cancel emails.

Ive only seen Blaster mention this and I believe he brought it up on the Team Xbox forums,Blaster again did you speak to a CS rep? Cause we all know how dumb they have been or are you being paranoid like I was yesterday?

I have an APX tracking number, a confirmation email, and my card has been charged for the full amount. I doubt seriously that all 3 of those events would have happened if there was a computer glitch.
 
not to put a damper on your moods but i think i remember something like that happening to me @ ebgames.com. can't remember the details (it was a few years ago), but i placed an order, got a tracking #, and then they didn't have it in stock or something and sent it out a week later.

hopefully you guys get yours though. although im jealous, i want all my madden and GAF chums to get in on the action!

Yea it makes no sense,plus some people didnt even get it shipped APX,so did the computer system just decide "hey you get UPS instead of APX" and then billing department went "hey lets take the money anyway and then turn around and cancel on some people for a 2nd time " :lol I think they gave everyone certain shipping based on location or if it was coming from a certain wharehouse.

It just too insane to think that walmart.com couldnt just cancel everyones orders and call it a day.
 
I'm feeling very confident about this. Not only did I get the automated "Your order has been shipped" email, but I also got an actual human response (I was going back and forth with help@walmart.com) reconfirming this.

Tomorrow, I expect to wake up to the full amount finally showing up as charged in my bank account as opposed to just mysteriously missing money.

To celebrate this grand day, I went out and found a copy of Project Gotham Racing 3.

If I get screwed now, I'll listen to some Linkin Park and cut myself. But~ I really don't see either of these events happening.

Yeah, it does happen. With all the orders walmart got hammered with I wouldn't be surprise.

Also not everyone has had their orders shipped,from CAG forum...

Hey i'm the same way at this point,like i said Im sick of this whole launch already,I know I'll eventually get one.My biggest thing has always been how rude the CS reps have been to me in the past and how stupid walmart.com is sometimes.

Even if we get these you have to admit they have handled things shitty.

Maybe you dont get paranoid and you might be putting things in perspective,but its a downer like I was doing lastnight...thats all.

Yeah, but you have to imagine how many gamers are calling walmarts CS reps every second asking for statues up date when they could check themselves... CS reps dont know anymore than what's on your status page. I know its their job to help and be nice... but when the same person calls every hour asking the same question something is bound to happen...

If your feelings got hurt just call walmarts consumer support and report the CS rep.

You can always ask to be escalated to supervisor if you don't feel that you're getting anywhere with a floor rep. Supervisors will generally do a lot more in the way of research and information getting than your typical $10/hr floor agent.
 
HAHA my feelings didnt get hurt,I told the bitch to fuck off.I did promise myself I wouldnt deal with walmart.com again,but you would have to be an idiot to not try this deal if it was right in front of your face.

I'm smart enough to not call,like you said,it makes them question things and sometimes they catch mistakes cause people dont stop bothering them.I havent even emailed them cause honestly if I get it I get it and if I dont I dont.

The most annoying thing is seeing people trying to order/call up still about the $400 shipping and if they can get the shipping downgraded.
 
The FedEx tracking for my package has now posted and is in their system. Makin' progress! :) Actually, it shows the estimated delivery as 11/22.

Interesting ~ What did WalMart say your estimated delivery time was originally? Most of ours is 11/24 - 12/01.

I just checked my APX shipment. It's still just jabbering about manifest stuff which I don't understand anyways.
 
My order status page on Wal-Mart's site still says my est. delivery date is 11/24 - 12/1, but on the FedEx tracking page it says estimated delivery is 11/22. Since it doesn't look like they have actually picked the item up yet, I expect that to change since I doubt I'll get it overnight via FedEx Ground (I just did the standard $12.95 shipping when I placed my order). We'll see, though; hope for the best, plan for the worst.

I ordered one of the bundles that was available a couple of months ago, and last week my status updated to indicate an arrival date of between 11/23 and 11/30. Yet, my 360 has already shipped and will arrive 11/22. Their estimated arrival dates for pre-order items seem to be based purely on the release date. The system estimates these arrival dates by assuming that the items will be shipped ON the day of release, but in most cases, the orders are shipped early. Mine was shipped last Thursday.
 
Pretty confident that orders with the shipped status will go through. There's no way that everyone would receive actual tracking numbers from USPS and FedEx in addition to have the amount held on their CCs.

They might have thought about cancelling all orders, which explains the emails, but then decided to fulfill them.
