God, Ziff Davis has trouble hooking me up with free copies of the magazines I write for. It's like $3! Retail!
 
I'd like to give the open beta a go, but it requires a serial which I signed up for but have yet to receive (and I doubt I ever will). If anyone is done with theirs and can lend me their # so a poor sap like me can give this game a try before I buy, please pm me :)

Haha, I know that pain, My "Better half" sells licenses for characters she designs to the greetings card and toy trade, one quirk she has is she likes to get at least one freebie of anything she licenses a design for, and despite us making many thousands, and the licensees making many millions from her designs it can be harder to get that one single freebie than it can be to land the deal in the first place.

Earlier this year we visited our IP "land-shark" to redo our license to specifically require "samples for QA evaluation" as part of the deal so she can now get her freebies without having to beg and pester the licensees :lol

(BTW, You should all pray to anything resembling a diety that you never need to use, let alone retain an IP/Patent lawyer, they put other lawyers to absolute shame when it comes to sky-high fees)
 
So, when's an expansion coming out with more unit types, not to mention the seven other factions?

Hmm, I've already paid for my copy (and I still haven't payed for Half-Life2, consider that ons of the biggest compliments you can receive!!) so no free-bee for me :/

I've never heard of Warhammer until this thread. After looking at some info, it looks pretty cool -- I might have to check this out.
 
Getting hooked on DoW is fine, since that's just $50 + whatever a potential expansion would cost. Tabletop is $$$$, and speaking as a person who just got hooked on the latter, I'd say "run away while you still can." ;b
 
Yeah Warhammer is fucking insane cost wise. Ive been playing Warhammer and Warhammer 40k for like 10 years and I wouldnt be surprised if Ive spent at least $5000 total, probably more.
 
I don't know how you managed to bump a thread that goes back just shy of a year, but that's generally frowned upon unless you have something relevant to add. Which you don't.

edit: Okay, I know how you managed it (saw the link in another thread), but I don't know why you would bump this after a year just to ask if it's a joke.
