My memory is a bit fuzzy, but in the beta:

Auto assign to the team with the least players. You can switch if team switching is enabled. You cannot switch if it is disabled, if team balance is turned on and switching would cause unbalance, or if you are playing split screen and force split screen players to play on same team is on.

Unranked servers can be passworded.

No friend icon in server list. Can view what servers friends/clan members are in by going to the community menu. Community menu cannot be accessed if you've joined a server.

Well that is good enough news. The game doesn't need a party system as long as some servers are running with switch and team balanced are off or modified(like some games only balance if it is multiple players off). It is weird to only have the community menu if you are on a server though.

As impressive as that is, assuming they're running the standard Warhawk client then that cluster can only support a few thousand players at once. Even if Sony does have multiple clusters like this around the US and world, I hope it'll be enough. Maybe other people will really take to the idea of hosting their own dedicated server so it can be ranked.

This thing is also a gut shot to Microsoft. Sony is showing that not only are they willing to provide dedicated servers for free, they're showing that their consoles are reliable enough to act as servers.

I'm guessing Press disc is a synonym for "preview build". The booklet looks around the same size as the warhawk retail package.

Warhawk is global

Resistance has been global since the last update.. Motorstorm is still region locked.
