Well, the upcoming 1.5 patch is introducing Tutorial levels that would no doubt help new players to Warhawk. Along with it hitting the Greatest Hits line, I suspect lots on new players joining in too. I don't think you'd be out of place to join now, to be honest.

*shrug* I've long assumed I'll never get any platinums. I don't have all the achievement points for any 360 game (don't have more than 75% on any except for maybe 2) and I doubt I'll get all the trophies for any PS3 games except perhaps the odd PSN title like Eden and even that's unlikely. I could force myself to play through Uncharted on Crushing but it wouldn't be fun (like I'd never bother with COD4 on Veteran) so I doubt I'll ever try.

When I was a wee noob I had trouble on ranked servers on occasion, but I picked it up fast. And I've never played a console shooter before (I know Warhawk is a lot different, but I think someone with Halo-type experience should be able to hit the ground running pretty well).

With the tutorials coming up, it's definitely a good time for the noobs to hop aboard. Just be aware that you pretty much need the expansions to play online (not too many people on non-expansion'd servers).

Edit: And if you're playing just for trophies you're doing it wrong. I remember someone in the Eden thread who hated the game. Turned out he was just whoring for trophies (which are hard as hell to get in there), and sucking all the fun out of it.

Base game is all you need to get Platinum. Exp packs trophies are an "extra".

Not really. Join a Supply Chain Badlands match, lots of people usually walk to the centre base and just let them have it. Just stay in the 4x4 and you'll be sure to get it.
