Henry Cavill‘s Superman will fly solo again in a sequel to “Man of Steel” going into active development at Warner Bros., a person familiar with the project told TheWrap.

Despite Superman’s battle with Batman, DC has been silent on a sequel to “Man of Steel” featuring Superman solo, leading many frustrated fanboys to believe that another film wasn’t going to happen. But a person close to the project told TheWrap that Superman is a top priority for the studio and getting the character right for audiences is of tantamount importance.

I feel like I'm one of the select few people that loved MoS. It's got its fair share of problems but I genuinely don't get the hatred

Just have him smile this time.

Also Brainiac please.

Not a huge fan of it, but I like Cavill and holy shot did they nail Kryptonian God tier power. With a new writer and director and Eisenberg Luthor bah gawd

The more DCCU films I see, the more I realize Superman is the issue. Also makes me appreciate MCU Cap more, since both characters are so easy to get wrong.

Fuck the haters. I loved Man of Steel. It solved all the problems I had with Superman Returns. Just Clarke stalking Lois for three hours. No fights. He lifts something.

MoS had great action. Felt like Superman.

Wasn't there a really good director interested in doing a Man of Steel sequel? I'm sure I heard something about that.

Hopefully they retcon Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. That was a complete misfire.

I'm guessing it might end up being the untitled 2019 film. Despite the issues I had with the film, I actually enjoyed MOS and was looking forward to an improved sequel. Never was a fan of BVS being right after it.

Man of Steel was not good.

I feel like they should have went in a different direction.

It made tons of money, so what do I know.

Cool. I'm hoping Braniac is the villain this time. I still can't believe that after 6 Superman movies we haven't had him even once.

If Snyder is involved in any way, shape, or form, then lmfao.

Doesn't WB have to make a new Supes movie every certain amount of years to keep the rights?
