I liked Man of Steel, it was rough in a lot of ways but it showed promise. So far they have yet to deliver on that promise whatsoever. Hopefully they get it right with this one because I do think Henry Cavill is a good fit for Superman.

So we finally get real Superman and not the broody Supes we have now? Well at least he smiles in the Justice League pic, that's progress I guess.

Please have a scene of him shaving his face with his laser eye beam nonsense.

Fuck the haters. I loved Man of Steel. It solved all the problems I had with Superman Returns. Just Clarke stalking Lois for three hours. No fights. He lifts something.

MoS had great action. Felt like Superman.

in the same way that a fleshlight "feels like a vagina" but is actually you just sticking your dick in a tube, sure.

I know a lot of people are groaning right now, and while prospects might not look that hot given what we've seen from the last three films in the DCEU... it's still totally salvagable.

I'd love to see them give us a great Superman film that channels all the best aspects we love about him with Henry Cavill in the role.

My hope is that with his resurrection in Justice League, he will be more Superman like than he was in Man of Steel (not really counting BvS because I don't feel he got a lot of time to really 'be' superman in that)

Please do a complete reboot, don't let Zack Snyder anywhere near it.

I know it's not going to happen.

I feel like I'm one of the select few people that loved MoS. It's got its fair share of problems but I genuinely don't get the hatred
Don't worry, i loved it too.

It may not have been a 'traditional' superman movie but it actually wasn't meant to be but instead one of how would Clark be if this was based in the real world. He was inexperienced, had self doubt not only about his role in the world but how the world would treat him and I love it all they're for it.

2 questions.

How will WB fuck up "Return of Superman" now?

Are we getting Steel, Superboy, Cyborg Superman, and the other edgelord Superman-wannabe?

Awesome! Love me some Superman movies and Man of Steel was the best one yet.

Can't wait! :D

Just get rid of Emo-Supes and we're good to go.

"getting the character right for audiences is of tantamount importance"

better be

get a good director and writer too

Villain ideas? Villain ideas...

Brainiac is a big one, but ultimately I feel as though it would be a tough one to swallow for a single movie. Maybe an introduction to him?

Parasite would be a good one to have for a one-off villain. I mean, life-draining would be a good power for Sups to deal with right have his regeneration.

Metallo would be a neat one too. We've seen that Kryptonite exists, so why not get a cyborg to run off the the stuff?

Atomic Skull would be a fun one. Lots of cool CGI and you can add a mild horror vibe to the film.

Bizarro would have been cool, but they've already done the big Kryptonian bad-guy twice now. Save Bizarro for a reboot or something...

Of course, my real choice is Vartox...

Reboot happened ,BvS spoilers,
with his death.

Guys, you gotta have a little failt. You will get your Superbore who saves kittens soon enough.

Jimmy is dead, Lex is completely miscast...

so how do they fix this?

-maybe stick with 1 villain and actually do him right - Brainiac could be fun.

-don't let Snyder within 1000 feet of the movie - so someone else can make it bright and bold and optimistic.

-retcon UE out of existence, bring a new actor in as Jimmy Olsen

Will they at least stop screwing around and actually put a decent director and screenwriter and just let them do their thing with no exec interference?

I'd personally be okay with an adaptation of Superman vs The Elite.

Otherwise Brainiac or Mongul would be great. Please no Metallo

I do too, I really ant them to give him a meaty script, where he can show everything hes got.

It all starts with the writing, It has to be tight and well written.

But a person close to the project told TheWrap that Superman is a top priority for the studio and getting the character right for audiences is of tantamount importance.

Imagine they had done this from the get go, how good these movies could've been...

*sigh*

So more Snyder, more Henry Cavill, more Amy Adams, more large scaled building destruction (but they are empty!).

I don't even like Zuckerberg Lux, there is nothing I loo forward to.

There are two empty slots in DCEU, one on 2018 and the other on 2019. Man of Steel 2 is one of them and Batman the other one, most probably. Also, if that's the case, Geoff Johns and Jon Berg will be the producers, so I expect it to be good.
