Warner registers new Batman Arkham related domain names

Werent Rocksteady doing a silver age Batman game?

After Arkham City SPOILERS:
it would be a little sad going in that universe with another game with so many important villians already dead, more if we are talking about another Arkham "zone"
Yeah theres that easter egg with some plans of the Scarecrow and the venom that mind indicate what Arkham 3 could be, but I dont think only scarecrow can make that intertesting game.

So yeah I would prefer a silver age type of game and then going next gen with a full Gotham Batman game (although I would like if it resets the timeline, I dont think theres nothing more to tell in the arkham saga).

This.

There's so much they could do with the setting and the gadgets, not to mention the unique rogues gallery. It'd interest me a lot more than just going with an open world game in modern Gotham.

But it doesn't have bruce wayne or his rogues gallery. Nobody is going to give a shit beyond fans of the tv show and thats not going to guarantee sales.

I love Batman Beyond too(it's like "What If Spider-Man was also Batman...IN THE FUTURE!?"), but that shit hasn't been on the air in a decade

This reminds me of a bunch of domains WB registered prior to AC's release. One of them was "Ashes of Gotham" or something like that, which, besides sounding pretty badass, would make sense, considering
Azrael's
side-quest (I don't even know why I'm spoiling that name, but...).

I want Firefly in the next game.

Arkham Legends sounds good enough for a third game that they can let Batman loose in Gotham without having to create an Arkham prison for him to infiltrate. The "legends" of Arkham are loose on the streets. Something like that would work.

I cannot for the life of me understand people who are tired of this franchise. I think it should end at a trilogy before it gets bad, sure, but I'm sure as hell not tired of it YET.

To be honest, I would be content with a run of DLC Predator and Combat rooms as that is the highlight of the series for me.

They set up a couple of stories in the side missions for a sequel, but I am sad to see a few prequel names in the list.

The last three interest me, since they seem to be an acknowledgement that the Arkham series is now regarded as an actual distinct universe; (City endgame spoilers)
understandable given that City actually finished up with some actually major changes to the world; it didn't just go back to the status quo

Arham rises, begins, or Origins are likely to be the name of the next game IMO. One of those 3 fits with the prequel rumours from a few months ago.

No more Arkham games please. I love Arkham Asylum but I haven't started City yet because of awful character designs.

Make it less 'roid-y or better yet, give me Beyond.

that's an odd reason not to play one of the best games of this generation.

in any case, I fully agree that we need a Batmsn Beyond game next gen. I'm also still hopeful we'll see a silver age game this gen as well, but it's not looking all that likely.

what I really want is a game based on Dark Knight Returns. Now there's an epic game in the making. :D

You called your last game Arkham City goddamnit, you can call the next one Gotham City.

But save that one for next-gen. Give us Arkham Begins or whatever for this one.

A few of the names aren't bad, but trying to force 'Arkham' into the name shouldn't be necessary and just restricts them to some funky options. Bring on the next game though, the first two were fantastic.

Just base it on No Man's Land, have a terrible earthquake in Gotham, and go from there.
This. No Man's Land was a groundbreaking series (pun intended) and a pleasure to read. It would also be a good setting for the next "Batman: Arkham whatever" game.

Or just give me Beyond, that would be nice too.

*yawn* another arkham game. come on, let us loose on gotham city! I want to drive the bat mobile dammit!

so, I guess that limits any hope that they will do a superman game.

the game could be called arkham: subtitle but actually take place in gotham city. calling it arkham: subtitle doesn't restrict them to having it take place in arkham.

Maybe it only has a few of his rogues gallery like Mr Freeze, but doesn't have Bruce Wayne? He'd be the voice in your ear the entire game if it was anything like the show, most likely delivering a good dose of hilarious deadpan one liners.

where are these rumours about a silver age batman coming form?
this doesn't make any sense.

variety.

Variety has learned that WBIE is expected to reteam some of the characters in some form for the next installment in Rocksteady Studios' gritty vidgame series that began with "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and "Arkham City."

New, highly stylized title is being developed as a prequel that revolves around Batman's first meeting with the Joker. It's based on the Silver Age of DC's comicbooks from the 1950s when the Caped Crusader teamed with other heroes like Superman and founded the Justice League of America.

Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill voiced Batman and the Joker, respectively, in the previous games. Hamill has already said he won't be back to play the villain in the next game.

wouldn't make any sense at all coming from akrham asylum and arkham city[/QUOTE]

I think it makes perfect sense given the events at the end of arkham city. going back to see how it all started is a great idea.

I meant the art style. the silver age was colourful and bright. the tone of the comics was much lighter than it is now. exactly the opposite of the arkham games.
