2007 was an uncharacteristically bad year for music if anything.

No way. Lupe Fiasco's "The Cool" alone made it a great year for music; There was a ton of good stuff in the indie scene too (electronic in particular).

2007 was much better than this year for music. 2014 was good too but at least 2007 had a good number of solid albums that were actually very popular/played on radio. Really can't say that for this year (my opinion though).

I started playing Team Fortress 2 shortly after it came out in 2007. I still play it, it's my favorite and most played game of all time. Just for TF2 I would consider 2007 a great year, though there's lots of other greats stuff that year.
