Watch Dogs: Differences between PS4/ONE and 360/PS3 versions

"It's not concessions, we're trying to do the exact same game. There are some differences though, obviously with more power, you can have a deeper simulation. A game like ours is great for that, being systemic with more and more cars, more variety in the people, more people, a stronger simulation.

"The water is definitely something that is not possible on [past]-gen, so that will be a difference, but for the rest it's the same experience, it's the same mechanics,"

We don't want one or the other to be better or worse, but stronger power, better graphics of course, it brings a little more to the depth for sure

Some gameplay and Ai info

When someone invades your game with the seamless multiplayer option of the game, missions are blocked until you deal with the intruder.

The look of the invader is totally random, “literally any civilian that is available from that district, man or woman.”

Some hideouts need to be found and unlocked, while others are unlocked by story progression.

For cars on demand, you pay for a car only once, and then you can get it delivered to you whenever you want.

Cars on demand are normally dropped in a parking spot around the corner from your location.

Robbing stores doesn’t award much cash. Open world missions, online contracts and story missions give better xp and cash.

You can track only cars and enemies that are objectives in a mission. Tracking all cars in the game would be too much data to handle.

Hacking ATMs can give you thousands of dollars in certain cases. Some people are rich, and you can detect them with the profiler app.

When someone asked if players will be able to create contracts for other players to do, the answer was “not exactly,” and “more info to come” were mentioned.

You can buy drinks in the game.

The battery of Aiden’s cellphone recharges very quickly over time.

Causing a blackout blocks all hacking, as there’s no electricity.

There will be a way to free roam privately just with your friends.

Let the hate train ride again

Why would there be a hate train? Everything they're saying should be obvious. The old consoles suck.

Such downgrade. Wow.

because downgrade/ ubisoft can't make good games/ parity/ etc

I don't feel this way, hell I am excited for this game... but every god damn thread for Watch Dogs post re reveal is filled to the brim with hate

I don't get why they always sound so scared in admitting that a PS4/Xbone (or PC in other cases) version is simply superior.
All this dancing around about not making concessions etc etc... are they afraid people will be shocked, if they learn that significantly more powerful hardware can pump out better performance out of games?

Expect slightly above 900p on the xb1 (the pictures were like 945p) and a full 1080p on the ps4. Xb1 will also have more frame drops.

Last gen systems though...

Because they want people who still have the older consoles to not feel like they are getting a vastly inferior product.

You don't have a PS4? Infamous is hella fun, dude. I say that as someone who always hated Infamous.

Infamous was a quick burn... platinumed in a weekend. Now I only have mercenary kings to get me by.

Watch Dogs seems like it has more longevity than infamous (coming from someone who loved all 3 infamous games)

Probably the next big game for me... but wolfenstein might change that... my curiosity has been oddly peaked by previews.

The problem with the longevity of Watch Dogs is that it could be just like Assassin's Creed...by that I mean repetitive icon chasing that pads the game's length artificially.

I'm hoping that this game is a more natural evolution of what they've learned from that other Ubisoft series, but its entirely possible that it won't be that big of a leap from other Ubisoft open world games.

It won't. Expect AC: Watch Dogs, which won't be bad, but won't be amazing either.

This footage Is from 2013 as is the interview, this was before the delay I think as the video end is 2013?

That said I am looking forward to this delivering on the visuals and gameplay. Having choice and the world reacting to me and my actions feels like a step forward.. Hope it delivers.

I can't access my fleet in ACIV right now and I blame you all...

"Unable to access Ubisoft servers. Please try again later."

Damn you Aiden Pearce!
