Watch Dogs PS4 and PC Both “Good Choices”

The Watch_Dogs gameplay showcased at E3 2013 was quite impressive. So impressive that many wondered if it actually showcased actual console footage. Creative Director Jonathan Morin clarified on Twitter that it was indeed at lease representative of the PS4 version, while the E3 2012 version was on a high-end PC.
E3 2012 was on High-End PC as we said… Should answer your question… : )

I said PC = E3 2012 & PS4 = E3 2013.

Asked what platform between PC and PS4 would be the best for the game, Morin remained neutral:
Great question, really both are a good choice at this point.

Morin was also asked if the game is still fun after reaching 100% completion, also explaining that for some of the infinite missions (he had previously mentioned potential crimes as an example) a finite number was defined to the purpose of calculating the percentage of completion.
YES that was an obsession for us. In fact I am attempting the 100% myself right now. In fact even at 100% there’s still new stuff.

This is because some of the stuff are infinite so we defined a number for the 100% mark but it continues after.

Watch_Dogs promises to be a truly massive game, with content to spare, which is kind of a rarity nowadays. As a completionist, I’m quite sure I’ll take my time to reach as close as possible to that 100%. Ubisoft’s virtual Chicago seems to be a hell of an amusement park anyway.

Trailers arent doing it justice, at least not the ones on youtube, stuck at 360p for me because of html5 video.

If i can get a nice 1080p download of the most recent trailers then i can weigh in properly but until then, its not quite up to par, at least for the console.

still hyped though

its not like hes gonna say one isn't?

wait what? What other activities besides killing people are there in this game?

Did i miss that preview?

I am SHOCKED at this level of brutal honesty.

Actually the problem is the e3 demos have a bunch of the visual features set to on.

There was always rain, a lot of bloom, the wind was on max.... all of which are in the game, but you will probably never see them all together in the same scene in game

like 99% of ubisoft games, i will wait for it to drop under $10. this game looks fun, but it's not the reason i bought a ps4(mlb and metal gear) and it's just another pc steam sale game to me.

still, when it hits that price point, i will be happy to try it out :)

It's curious how the conversation about this game goes, it's either the PS4 version, or the PC version. You would think that the Xbox One version does not even exist, I wonder how it will compare to the other two.

Probably like the PS4 version, crept at 900P like AC4...Won't know till it comes out right?

For some reason I don't think the PS4 version will be 1080p. I think it will be PS4 = 900p, Xbone = 720p. Could easily be wrong here, but I guess we'll know eventually.

Misleading title as it suggest a Ubisoft representative highlighted only 2 platforms to be a good choice when he responds to a questions that cites only those 2 platforms.

If you choose to wait it'll probably be a Black Friday candidate like every other Ubisoft game that comes out earlier in the year.

Guess it depends on its initial reception. If it knocks it out of the park I may not be able to wait that long.

They have a co-marketing deal with Sony, just like Assassin's Creed. You probably won't see or hear about the XB1 version until it launches.

I don't know how I feel about this game anymore.

Between all of this confusing and conflicting noise surrounding Watch_Dogs and the protagonist in Assassin's Creed 5 being yet another dude I'm all out of hype for Ubisoft games. If I get either it will be a bit after release when I can get them for $40 or less.

Interesting how the Xbox one isn't even in the conversation when discussing which version of the game is better visually. This has to be a nightmare for MS

Troll.

We probably won't hear anything about the Xbox one version since Sony and Ubi have a marketing deal.
Yup it was a purposeful troll. Just like how we haven't heard jack about the 360 version of Titanfall, with MS only showing/discussing the Xbone version.

I wonder what "high end PC" means here, and how many folks will actually be able to run it at settings representative of the E3 2012 showing.
