What's the consensus on the show? First and second season worth checking out? Any comparison point? Thanks all!

The first season is adequate mystery thriller fun, just don't expect high quality stuff. The first episode of this season season was pretty eh...somehow the new male lead has less charisma than Matt Dillon.

I liked the first episode, a good way to introduce new and old viewers but the ending was so out of character..wtf was up with that

You'd think that given their limited supply of vehicles with no way to replace them, they'd have found a less wasteful way of disposing of enemies of the state.

Watched the first episode. We can't get Keanu Reeves, let's get this guy.

Shaking my head at the blonde women somehow survived.

I'm getting a Helix vibe with how stupid this is going to be.

I just found out today that a second season had even been made. Will check this out in a few weeks; my wife and I are currently half way through S3 of Game of Thrones, and we're going to finish up with that first (borrowed the first four seasons on DVD from some friends).

Don't bother honestly.
S2 honestly feels like S2 crew saying "FU" to S1 since it didn't leave them a need for it.

I'm surprised I've lasted 3 eps tbh after that terrible season opener. First season was pretty interesting, but since the big reveal about half(?) way through it meandered along to its conclusion and this new season...I just dont know what they were thinking.

Season 1 wasn't even great, but it's a fucking masterpiece compared to this garbage. Disappointing.

Lol what's so bad about it. I watched Season 1 and thought it had its moments.

To give you an idea....the 3 novels the show is based on were covered off in their entirety in the 1st season. Most of the cast and crew of the 1st season have left and this 2nd season more or less just plays out like a spinoff with a cast of actors pulled from Under The Dome rejects.

New cast sucks and they are literally
killing 1 s1 character
a week as the climax while nothing really happens or honestly after that awful reveal can happen.
Also keeps wasting time trying to stay mysterious when we know anything that was worth being interesting.

After 3 episodes of S2 i can honestly say this season is one of the absolute worst things I have seen on a major tv network, especially primetime.

Only thing that could make this remotely interesting within the current framing is
Ben not being dead but somehow joining/leading the Abbies or something
But I don't like that actor so even that is conflicting.

I liked the first season, but the second one has been horrible so far. It's hard to watch and boring to a fault.

I don't want to drop it, though, because I've already invested so much time into it and liked the original story (plus the general premise).

I missed the second episode of the season, but have they explained why they're going to so much trouble to build farms outside the fence when they seem to have a lot of unused space inside the fence? Heck, if everybody planted a the equivalent of a victory garden in their backyard, that would probably be enough.

Edit: Ok, I guess they mentioned tonight something about crops not growing within the fence for unknown reasons and them trying to figure out what they did to make it that way. Not sure that really makes sense, given that they've got huge forests so obviously the soil is fertile.

The start of this season was horrible. And up until just the other day, I was 3 episodes behind. I almost considered deleting all of the episodes and the PVR timer, but ended up watching the 3 while colouring.

The last couple of episodes were definitely better. But it's still far from anything special.

They keep making Pritcher look worse and worse, which is interesting. That Jason guy is an absolute idiot.

Jason is the only character left who's still an idiot. Everyone else is dead.

Beyond an idiot. Comically so. He's such a bad character, though his back story had promise.

The others are at least somewhat intelligent. I'm glad the one who died at the end of the last episode did, though, as they were driving me nuts.

This show won't last past 2 seasons, so I'll watch the remaining 3 episodes and call it a day.

I'm glad they got rid of that character. Absolutely annoying. Jason should die as well. The doc is the only likeable character in the show and everyone else is shitty. Season started off so bad but at least this episode was good. I still want to know how the abbie got in though.

Tough to argue with that.

I watched all of Under The Dome and this show is much better. If you suffered through that show, you can make it through this one hah.

I wouldn't say it is much better...but slightly better. I stopped watching Under the Dome after the 2nd season as I couldn't take any more of it. There are not too many shows I would watch that much of and abandon, it was that bad.

If this show gets renewed for a 3rd season, I will also not tune in for it....2 seasons of this has been enough for me. Bit of a shame as the first season was quite decent I thought.

WTF happened there? Seriously. WTF.
The author of the book series did an interview on the episode. Basically Margaret has been spreading the news about humans in the valley to other Abbie's via her followers, Yedlins plan to wipe the Abbie's failed, and it looks like they did a short time skip to show the Abbie's are still evolving and will be something different when the town wakes up/if they do a season 3.

CJ had a chance to cancel the show, and he failed.

Also, it's funny looking at the OP and realizing only one of those characters is alive (maybe?)
