Se7en did a pretty good job in it's own wayI highly doubt that any sort of "big budget" movie could ever properly showcase what actually makes Inferno work.

Why? He can act and has "brand recognition".
The obvious choice is Morgan Freeman, but Herzog's "poetic style" fits too perfectly here. He would just need to adopt a more neutral accent.
Beatrice would have to be young so that nixes as lot of older, reliable talent. IMO Ronan seems up and coming with enough talent for a bigger role.
When I think of the devil I don't think of "an evil looking actor", I think of everyday people... doing terrible things.
BEATRICE!!!
it's Hollywood LOLGrimløck;176161545 said:let it retain the political and religious criticisms
Alighieri Cinematic Universe confirmed.
Trilogy? Ohhh boy when you get that Macchiaveli post credit scene you are gonna be in for a surprise.
He was purportedly involved in a Paradise Lost adaptation that was to be directed by Alex Proyas. Budgetary issues were mainly to blame for the project's demise.Didn't someone already try to do this with Bradley Cooper staring and it fell apart?
yay!WeÂ’d love to see something lush and classical (a la Guillermo del Toro)
excited by its scale and franchise potential
Who asked for this?
Yet still no At the Mountains of Madness movie.
The classic 14th-century tale The Divine Comedy follows Dante as he descends through the nine circles of hell to rescue the woman he loves.

I mean, if having Tom Cruise attached at one poin couldn't get it off the ground...you have to wonder if it will ever be made.
That's not the right description is it? I've never actually read it all myself. Sooo we're assuming this will be based off of the video game and not the actual poem?
No it doesn't?
He was? lol
This game had a lot of potential, and I liked the art. Nobody expected the developers of Dead Space to drop the ball so badly.
It surprised me how poorly the story inside the game was told, when the circles of hell where so neatly designed. They should go by the book adaptation instead. Maybe give it to Alex Garland

At one point, but seems he's no longer attached or the article just forgot to mention it.

LolSo they're making self-insertion fanfics into movies now?
SMH
Wonder if anyone pointed out to the doofuses who came up with this idea that Beatrice sends Virgil to rescue Dante. Beatrice doesn't need rescuing, she's already in heaven.
