We don't have a reaction that conveys sadness. I can react to say that I find something humorous, or lovely, or praise-worthy, or surprising, or triggering... but nothing for sadness. The closest option to this would be Empathy, but it's not the same. If someone loses a parent or a pet I don't know how to empathize with that as I haven't been through it myself. Maybe Avasarala can give me some good news here?
