It's better if I buy the download album from Amazon over iTunes, right?

That and the iTunes version is $16.99AUD compared to Amazon's $9.99USD.

This is definitely his best work in awhile. Not that his more recent albums were bad. I think the timing and song choices on this one are just ace.

I was reading Al's wikipedia entry the other day because I didn't know how Al broke into the industry. Led me to find his first TV appearance:

Knew the song, never seen the performance.

Awesome that his first drummer who just happened to be at the radio station has been with him to this day.

Finishing it up, I just died from the stinger in Jackson Park Express.

Solid ALbum, not close to one of my favorites but it was pretty alright. I really like Tacky.

I've heard all the songs that are going to be parodied before, but I think this is the first polka that I haven't heard half the songs on it.
Well, I stand corrected. I actually have heard every song on this polka, I just never knew the names or the people that sung them. Except for Wrecking Ball which I had actively avoided.

Yeah, this is definitely his best album since at least Running With Scissors. Every song is very good, but it is lacking a "Hardware Store" caliber all-time great song. At least for me.

Inactive is really close, though.

Jackson Park Express was amazing.

"Then I glanced down.. at her shirt.. for a second.... In a way that clearly implied.. I like your boobs."

Just bought this CD. Good stuff. Love word crimes, foil and handy. Inactive sounds too muddled for my liking. That's only after one listen tho. I need more time to digest the original stuff but was pleased to hear Amanda Palmer on First World Problems.

Inactive is one of my favorites. I've never heard the original, but I'm pretty sure it's an effect they used since the original is called "Radioactive".

I could be wrong though.

But I liked the effect it gave the song.

Inactive is great, and feels like the sequel to "You're Pitiful."

I feel like Mission Statement is a new all time classic. I love it for the same reason I love "Buy Me a Condo". He mixes really boring lyrics with a very fun upbeat style.

I really enjoyed the word crimes video and song, was really fun...
wish I could say the same for tacky... I hated both the video and song to that... part of that is likely due to my intense hatred towards the original song though.

I wasn't impressed by inactive, but I enjoyed foil... I haven't listened to anything else yet.

(It's safe to stop listening when the second guest shows up. She was a bit of a zero).

Weird Al's great and all, but Claudia O'Doherty's the funniest comedian on her continent and behind Maria Bamford (my favorite comedian ever) and a couple of others as the best female comedians working today.

Catch her on Jordan, Jesse, Go, for instance, if you didn't like her there.

ANYWAY: Word Crimes, goodness. I haven't heard the album yet, but the its/it's section was especially glorious.

"Word Crimes" is absolutely amazing.

July 21, 1989 is now merely days away from 25 years ago, friends:

Everyone hoist a Twinkie wiener sandwich- this means something... this is important!
