Yeah I don't boil water in the microwave, but I will put a mug of water in to heat it up if I'm making hot chocolate or something. The closest to an "electric kettle" I've ever seen in person is a coffee maker.
Calling biscuits 'cookies' just to be awkward.
I'm just trying to wrap my head around people boiling water in a microwave. This is literally the first time I've ever heard of it and I'm American.
WHY NOT USE THE KETTLE?!
Serious question:
If British people call this:

biscuits
Then what do they call this?

Try it. Takes a couple seconds.
I mean, I am not going to cook pasta in the microwave or something so ridiculous, but if I have to make boiling water real quick, why not?
*googles* we call those "english muffins" lolCrumpets?
"Care for a spot of tea and crumpets?"

In America scones typically look something like this:

And the confusion continues.
So people in the UK would say "chocolate chip biscuit," instead of chocolate chip cookie?
That just sounds wrong.

Our (America's) obsession with perfect teeth. The way people were going on about Lena Headey's teeth made me think they were on Anthony Davis' level.
The only time I eat english muffins is when I use them to make mini pizzas.

america's attempt at clotted cream is a sad, deflated joke.
pretty bizarre for you guys to be bad at anything with clotted in the name.
Who the fuck boils water in a microwave?

Not clotted cream, or even an attempt at one.
That's just a glaze.

college students. it's the fastest way to cook stuff. ramen, easy mac, boxed dinners, instant coffee. whatever. there are microwave directions on the back of everything.
*googles* da fuck? that picture has what we call a "glaze" and there is no cream in it
it would seem your "clotted cream" is our "whipped cream"
Please do.

I think aluminum is the only element that doesn't have "-ium".
It's done so much that just about every microwave with a keypad sold today has a “Beverage” button. You didn't think people used it?
instant noodles can work that way but you don't want to do that with coffee (you don't want to do instant coffee in general, just get a damn french press)So wait, for noodles and instant coffee you add cold water and heat it up in the microwave?
if you're getting that shit out of a can, sure. but there many many things where there appears to be a kind of american who gives no shits about processed foods and a kind of american who prefers eating real food.nah, whipped cream is clotted cream's inferior, processed cousin.
It's just confectioner's sugar and a bit of water.wow. what a dump.
