Weirdest song you have heard in a game ?

No More Heroes

The game's soundtrack is full of guitar-riff heavy songs, and plenty of electronica. Really intense boss fight themes, and in my opinion one of the best OSTs in all of the Wii/360/PS3 generation

Then you walk into the item shop. And hear Heavenly Star.

In a game full of WTF moments, that's up there -- but as an awesome one. That song is such a guilty pleasure of mine.

Oh god, and then there's Comic Jumper's amazing Stats Screen Song

That was awesome. Did not expect that for a status screen.

It fits the whole 'anime' vibe of the game though. Gotta have that in there somewhere.

Bitter Dance in Star Ocean 3.

You are exploring this large tower-like complex and this song pops out of nowhere for a boss fight.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYfCBQMtHSw I have fairly high regards for the SO3 Soundtrack however this one song just didn't fit anywhere in the game and doesn't sound remotely similar to any of the other tracks in the game. (I mean Bitter Dance does not sound anything like this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFj-zNYb9n4 or this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oTlX6NhDGQ or even this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIKaqW4Rgj8 ) Considering the most of the Prog. Rock stuff in Star Ocean 3....Bitter Dance just doesn't fit at all.

This is Motoi Sakuraba too, the same composer that did the music for Dark Souls 1 and 2, a large majority of the Tales series, Golden Sun, Mario Golf : Toadstool Tour, Mario Tennis, some. Out of all of this works that singular song was just jarring to me.

Persona 1 was unnervingly eerie and strange.

Mana Castle

Tadashi's Pharmacy

Accident

Night Cries of the Forest

"everybody way oh" by Terry S Taylor from The Neverhood soundtrack (hell, the whole OST). Sounded like the weirdest thing I'd ever heard in a game, or song in general for that matter. Hearing it now I think it sounds pretty cool.

Edit: Can't wait to hear more of his work in Armikrog.

These shoulda been WAY earlier in the thread. These are godlike out-of-left-field OSTs.

Isnt Beyond the Bounds (Zone of the Enders) pretty weird?

Both of each OST is full of odd time signatures, shitcrackers backwards masked lyrics, and wierd tones done REAL GOOD.
