Haha she really disgusts me right now too. I love my sister, but it's embarrassing to know that she can be so immature when she wants to be.

As for the guy you guys are all debating...
wouldn't hit it.

Guess the pictures I posted ended offending everyone around here..I'll edit them and just put links then. :lol

Message received: No more Francisco Randez pictures. :lol :lol :lol .

hey does anyone know how Skittleguy is these days?

I know he asked for a permaban but I hope he's doing better.

kitchenmotors keeps in regular contact with him, I believe. He uses another site at the moment as an outlet/vice and often seems a bit annoyed with himself at continuing to spend a lot of time on the computer, but is relatively fine as far as I can tell.

Also, I need more details about that story? How did it start? What comments/hints? And WTF at the questions? Do they read this thread? :lol

It's just a typical boring coming out story.
How did it start? I was eating a meal that looked like a vagina. I was visibly disgusted and pretty vocal about it. He then asked me. Comments/hints included conversations about:

-having sex with myself.
-Docking (he brought it up)
- Him: "There was this hot student who came in today." Me:"Man or a woman?"

I guess those are hints kind of. The guy who asked the question is a real funny guy so he just wanted to make as many of those awkward questions as he could. It was mainly to weird out the other guy that was there with us. Everything is back to normal. For a while after, they kept using the term "gay" for everything though. He has always known I visit this site and he knows there's a queer thread. I HOPE he doesn't read this thread. If so... *waves*

We are alike. I also get nervous about parallel parking or just downtown areas in general.

Same here, I'd rather park 5 blocks away than trying to park in downtown :lol

It's kind of similar to what happened with one of the 2 friends that know:
We were drinking coffee on Xmas and he starts talking about girls and says something along the lines of "... when you get a girlfriend... something something... [profit?]".
I replied: Do you REALLY think I'm going to be with a girl ever? Seriously?
He: Of course :), dude! Or are you gay :lol?
Me: Yes, I'm.
He: :lol Stop joking :lol
Me: I'm serious :)

There were a couple of questions and that was it (everything as normal as usual), we kept playing NSMBWii until 2am of the next day...

Dammit, Sai! Pieces of "Bad Romance" and "Telephone" have been looping in my head for the past two days! D:

I like it :3

Will do, Sagitario.

By the way, the incest thread is just fascinating.
Indeed. Internally debating what kind of hypothetical post is the most inoffensive :lol

Me? Oh, decent enough. Life doesn't change much in my little world and that's how I prefer it.

How are you, and did you vote for neon green in the "colors" topic? ;)

Hah, I don't know if you've been following the thread too much or not, but shame is something I've increasingly parted with lately [;)]. Feels good to be understood and just let it all out. But yeah, awesome song. Gets ya pumped, love the lyrics, has a hilarious/quirky music video, it's just too damn good. Kinda surprised I'm only two months late to the party on this.

I'm not drunk meself, but I am pretty fatigued after pulling an all-nighter working on my contest map. If I get that hundred dollars, I'll have fuggin' earned every cent. :lol

I've followed it on and off on my quiet times at work - good to see you coming to terms with stuff. (Actually I've been surprised to see how quickly, in your case. I'm sure it helps having a cool community of guys on here)

And yeah - it's a great song. I tend to stay out of the pop world so to speak until you get one of those killer catchy tracks, then I go crazy and make impulsive concert ticket purchases!

I've been drinking all evening with some mates, nerding out by playing this Simpsons dvd board game one of them got as a gift. She was insistent. I lost :( Now I'm chattin up hotties online with the bf next to me playing Pokemon. :lol

Yeah, count me surprised as well. I dropped that first post with some pretty muted expectations, didn't at all expect any of what was to come, or the serene that's kind of settling in on me now. Wouldn't have happened without you guys and your awesome support, the issues stewing painfully in my head for years would have been a real possibility otherwise. The past little while has almost been bandaid-esque, the last bits came off and I had to deal with a hell of a lot of sensory/emotive overload (lots of sweating/rapid heartbeat/mood swings :lol ). It's kind of funny, isn't it? I'm not an "always known" guy, but that goes for more than just who I'm attracted to or would like to hold a relationship with. I struggled with/repressed my identity in general. I pretended/forced myself to be unemotional, for example. That happened so early that I just took it for granted that it was how things were supposed to be. I took it for granted that I was heterosexual, even though those feelings were rare occurrences and never really lasted through the slightest change of mood. I'm tired of taking things for granted, and I'm really tired of protecting a status quo that does nothing but hurt me.

"Let me show u mah pokemans" :lol Sounds nerdy/fun as hell, man.

Skittleguy is doing very well, a lot better now that he's distanced himself from GAF. I wasn't going to comment since Patrick responded, but I said something to Andrew today and he wanted me to post his thoughts on the whole matter, as he doesn't plan to return.

Skittleguy said:
Well, i just felt i no longer belonged at neogaf. It's changed so much from when I first came out. I feel like I no longer have anything in common with the new members. It just made me feel even worse about my current situation. So, rather than wallow in depression, I cut ties to try and make a fresh start in life.

Overall, I think it was the right move, since I no longer hate myself as much.
The new gaygaf just reminded me too much of that part of the community I wanted nothing to do with.

I'm sorry for making some poeple worry, but overall thought it would be best to make an exit as quitely as possible, since it didn't seem like anyone would even notice.

So there you have it. I made a comment that it sounds like he's still feeling negative and that doesn't represent him anymore, which he responded -- he's just negative when it comes to this part of GAF.

Honestly, I feel the same way. I don't really like the new direction this thread has taken and while I enjoy the company of gaygaf people on here and on Facebook, there is a very vocal group that turned me off to this thread. I don't think that should come as a surprise though, given my past complaints of the gay community in general. I don't also see many of the old, regular gay gaffers in here so much anymore, which is a shame.

What new direction has this thread taken?

I know I didn't even look in here for the longest time at some point, but it all looks and feels the same: ronery > happy > bitch fest > dirty > repeat.

As a member of New GayGAF, I'm also interested in the specifics. I mean you don't have to say any names, but I'm curious as to what exactly is off putting about our new direction. I missed the beginning of this thread, so I really have no idea.

The amount topics discussed in here is limited, so they come back every xx amount of pages. And I don't mean that in a negative way. I don't see much change or trends either, except perhaps that before the Gaygaf thread there were only a few well known gay gaffers (Suerte, Mercury Fred, Nick, Kryptonian come to mind), and most of them were well known for being very active in threads that dealt with LGBT issues and discrimination, but not much more than that. With this thread, the gay community has gotten a lot of faces and the topics discussed vary wildly. It seems more "club like" today.

I think some people take (gay)gaf too seriously. If you don't like the topics, change them, or don't participate in them. It's not as if you need a gay thread on an internet forum or anything, or a whole lot of virtual homo mates. Having a thread like this is very nice: you get to know each other, and for some people it even ends up in meet-n-greets and maybe real life friendship. But if that's not really for you, you shouldn't feel left out or disappointed or anything. It's not because you're a gay gaffer, that you have to be a part of gaygaf. At least, that's my take on it. But I realize very well that I know jack shit about Skittleguy or his motives and feelings. :)

My problem with gaf in general is that it's fucking addictive!!! I don't get any work done because of it. For that reason alone I'd consider a permaban as well. :lol (But it wouldn't work, I'd sign up again sooner or later. The only solution is getting bored with the site, or it closing down. But I don't see that happening soon :))

Have to say I took it personally since I'm part of the new batch of GayGAF members.

Kinda drama-queeny to send that kind of message but I wish him all the best, it's no fun to hate oneself and an online forum should definitely not be responsible for that.

Yeah, GAF is addicting :lol It doesn't help that it's my home page <3 Still, though, the first two paragraphs sum up how I've always viewed this thread and why I don't see a change.

I guess you could take it like that, but people were asking where he's been--and now they know!

I've asked for 2 bans before. Funny enough, my only actual ban I got was right when I asked for one too from a different mod:lol

To be fair, Skittleguy has always been drama-queeny. I don't think I've seen a positive post from him... ever.

I don't mean this to come off as slandering him -- I've attempted several times to try and curb his negativity, but it never works. It's not even worth it anymore. If him not being around here means LESS pessimism, I'm all for that. That's one of the things I have a huge problem with in the gay community: Overwhelming depression and incessant negativity.
