What are the essential Xbox One exclusives?

None of those games are on steam except Goat simulator I think??

I dont want do derail this thread, but i think its ok this time since you asked.
pls dont ban.

They all are on Steam except for Titanfall (Which is only available on origin) and Killer Instinct (because the officially announced PC-Port is still in development)

Read the OP.

Even if some are still on PC they are still exclusive to Xbox One when it comes to consoles.

Lets not even start this argument because a lot of exclusives this generation are on PC for both large platforms.

Sunset Overdrive
Forza Horizon 2
The Master Chief Collection
Kalimba

But more than that, OP doesn't game on PC, so why does it matter?

OT: Ryse: Son of Rome is a decent game. Not the greatest game in the world, but still worth checking out

Also, KALIMBA is a fun puzzle game!

I was asking for myself, should have clarified that, sorry!

Thanks for the responses. I'd never heard of Kalimba, I'll definitely check that out. The GIFs of Dead Rising 3 actually look pretty cool, I'll keep my eye out for that too.

Dead Rising 3, Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, and Ori are all really good.

Oh and while I'm not into fighting games, I constantly hear Killer Instinct is phenomenal.

I'm a new Xbox One owner. Is #IDARB still active? Also, has it been patched for true 4 vs 4 online play? After reading about it, it sounds like something I'd enjoy, but I want to make sure it's still worth getting.

OP, you seriously need to grab Rare's Collection when it releases. It's a steal considering all of the content included!

I also can't recommend Ryse enough. It's simple, cinematic, dumb fun.

I have Ori on PC. Haven't played it yet so I kind of wish I waited to play it on my new toy.

Sunset could be good, I'll look into it. Heard very mixed things.

Well I was also torn on Sunset prior to its release but I bought it on a whim an really enjoyed it. The game is hectic. Once you get the hang of the controls, you fly around the city, killing everything in sight with weapons that are not only funny, but have layers of strategy to them as well.

Each weapon has an a rating against enemy types which dictates its effectiveness in every situation. The main quest is very fun throughout and the enemy types add new wrinkles to their arsenal so you have to keep on learning how to move effectively. If there is a downside (IMO), its that the side quests can be boiled down to fetch quests. However, the movement mechanics and the scenarios are interesting enough to keep them from getting dull.

Also, the boss fights are awesome.

Glad the op enjoyed sunset overdrive. Apparently some don't like it, crazy. One of the best original new games I've played in ages. I really hope a sequel gets green lighted (if it hasn't already)

There's a demo for Dead Rising 3. Please try it. It's a lot of fun.

And yes, Sunset Overdrive is fucking amazing. As is Killer Instinct. And Forza Horizon 2. And a bunch of others already named. I have a copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection coming in tomorrow (hopefully), and I can't wait to play it. I never got Halo 3 and 4.

I thought D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die was good. Not one of my favorite games on the console, though. But I liked the oddballness of it all.

Sunset Overdrive and Ori have the best boss fights I've played in years.

Sunset Overdrive's boss fights look and play like this:

Besides the ones you already have Ryse is great, Dead Rising 3 even more, D4 is awesome if you love Swery65's works, but the best has yet to come, with the upcoming Halo 5, Tomb Raider, Gears of War, Forza 6, Quantum Break, Scalebound, Crackdown 3 etc

If you're at all interested in the concept (a completely open-ended space combat/trading sim in a procedurally-generated version of the entire Milky Way), Elite Dangerous is worth checking out.

Sadly, the free trial isn't particularly good (1h time limit, and only lets you access the tutorials, which are... not very good), but the full game is pretty cheap at the current early-access price.

From what I understand Ryse and Dead Rising 3 are pretty mediocre. I have no interest in D3, I watched a few clips and I don't like the zany, over-the-top style of games like that, No More Heroes, etc.

I assume you mean D4. You will no doubt hate if you don't like games like that. Better off just watching a playthrough since there is very little gameplay (it was designed as a kinect game after all). And Ryse is worse than mediocre, it's incredibly short and linear with combat being little more than QTEs. That and The Order on PS4 are two of the worst AAA games I played this gen. Dead Rising 3 is actually not that bad, it's just that it looks like a last gen game.

DR3 was the game I bought the system for. No regrets at all, and Ori's been fantasic. Not so crazy about the rest of the lineup, sunset's okay but that's about it.

I don't know about SO, but Ori's "boss fights" were one of the worst things about the game.

Tomb Raider has timed exclusivity, not full on exclusivity. So while it is not known what platforms it will move to and when, it will eventually be able to be put on PC and/or PS4 as SE/CD see fit.

I loved them.

Perfect example of everything I love in boss fights. Forces you to prove you've learned everything the game's tried to teach you. Instant retry with no load times. Super dramatic with incredible visuals and an awesome soundtrack backing everything.

And then, when you finally complete it, you're treated with some of the best cutscenes around.

This thread is reminding me why Sunset Overdrive is soooo good. makes me want to go back and play, but knee deep in other games.
