We all know it's coming and to be honest their stock has gone down since Resistance 2, not even the amazing Crack in Time had people interested in their games.

Shooters will be announced for the HD platforms

3rd and 1st person perspective with the same multiplayer options as every other shooter on the market. They will say "Call of Duty was our inspiration for the online component of the game" and it will be dark and brown and feature brown haired/bald or armored suit male protagonists.

I think that is our most safe bet at E3.

Given how there has been chatter about Sony pushing SE for something/anything from that game to show, I think its still exclusive. Who knows though. Stranger things have happened.

Anyway, given that FFXIII 360 sales numbers are now available (wasn't the case last year's e3), and how Hashimoto has recently told Nomura to shut the hell up about Versus (when Nomura had stated late last year that there would be a lot of Versus info at the start of 2010), I think SE has just changed their mind about this game and are saving it for an e3 surprise at the microsoft event.

Either that, or this game really has been moneyhatted by Sony. Those are the only two possibilities.

Anyway, my personal "megaton" is a psp2 unveiling. Full specs and all.

Resident Evil 6 would only be MEGATON worthy if Capcom hired Mikami for a one time deal to be in charge of it. Otherwise I doubt anyone on GAF would be excited if Resident Evil 6 was done by the RE5 team or even worse outsourced by a western developer.

but i am curious to see what they have planned for xbl now that legacy support for xbox1 is gone. if all they do is announce the increased friends list im going to seriously question MS' ability to please it customers.

Lot of stuff in this topic that wouldnt be a megaton. Seriously guys, some example for past megatons:

- MH3 for Wii
- DQ9 for NDS
- Wiimote unveiling
- PS3 599 Dollar
- Microsoft buying Rare

That kind of stuff.

Thinking along these lines, I´d say...Kingdom Hearts 3 for Wii. This has been such a hot-topic for seemingly everyone on Gaf, wether the franchise will go to Wii or PS3. So, should the franchise really change from Sony to Nintendo, after all those heated discussions in the past, it´d be a real megaton.

As for an unrealistic megaton, I´ll go with Pokemon MMORPG.

Think about it, it makes sense how this will play out at the show.

At the end of MS's conference they'll announce it, and have some footage of some new game that they are making for 360.

Then to "make it up to" Sony fans, they'll announce and show Resistance 3 at the Sony show.

i think the game may be further along than that. i think they'll do gameplay of kz3, r3, starhawk, eat sleep play's game, and the other stuff will be shown in trailer form. And they'll announce the gt5 date at the end of the conference. Also, they'll stop making ps2s :lol
