To answer OP's question, they're from Dota 2. Most of them, including the two in your OP are actually available in game, and people have made Firefox and Chrome extensions to add the emoticons to GAF. Like this.

They were given out depending on how high you leveled up your Compendium for TI4. The rune ones though, you should know what those are.

Like I said, TI4 Compendium. You could level up your Compendium and you got the emoticons based on how high you leveled up your Compendium. You got the emoticon and a trophy thing to go on your profile.
