I will share a story,

in my local arcade, we had this Neo Geo machine, These machines would save the 3 letters on the top scores even after turning them off, they'd stay forever as long as the arcade was there.

there was this game

which took like 2.5 hours long to beat and three guys, (we were arcade friends) would try to beat each others scores, which were all around in the range of 2'000'000 and 2'400'000. To get more we would need help of a "reverse" tile that would send you back half the stage and let you get more points....

one time, I got like 5 reverse tiles in a row, AND proceeded to finish the game flawlessly without losing a life.

I got something like 2'835'827.

I was casually playing street fighter and one of those guys comes and says " damn you MGS, how the hell did you get that?", I just lol'd and said "sorry man, that's staying there forever".

end of story.
