I just beat the Dragon boss in Twilight Princess last night, so I'll have to say that just because it's still fresh in my mind.
I'm talking about this guy:

Angelus and Legna from Drakengard.

They have great appeal both from an appearance and character standpoint. They get curious design changes during the games (like Angelus' "lava tail") but the main draw to me are their interesting personalities and the fact that they're treated like part of the main cast (and core gameplay) all the time, with their own major developments throughout the story.

Great picks all around. The dragons in Final Fantasy XII are intimidating creatures, especially marks like Fafnir. I love the dragon designs in Panzer Dragoon as well.


My pick would be the Dragon God from Muramasa the Demon Blade. Elegant, intimidating, and a cool battle.

Odin Sphere has some cool dragons too, but two of them started to annoy the heck out of me since they kept showing up as bosses....

Firkraag from Baldurs Gate 2 was the first real dragon I ever fought.
I played through BG2 over a dozen times and going up aainst Firkraag was always the highlight.

Edit: Wow, Im suprized Firkraags had so many mentions. His death always turned Keldorn into a powerhouse with that awesome sword that was taken after the fight. Forgot the name of it.
