This is delicious smelling. Good for many situations.

Cologne, France is my favorite Cologne in the whole world. It's just such a beautiful place and I'm kind of disappointed noone has mentioned it yet.

More seriously I rarely wear Cologne but reading this thread has been edifying, thank you.

1. D&G The One
2. Armani Mania
3. Curve (the one in the green bottle)

I haven't been cologne shopping in a long time, I'm sure there are some better ones out there now.

Classic amazing stuff. Formulated in 1955.

"Fresh green-citrusy blend with a woody oriental base.

A fresh burst of citrus (Bergamot, Lemon from Sicily and Neroli from Grasse) yields to a hint of spicy Cardamom. Tones of Cyprus, with Cedar and Bourbon Vetiver, for a refined, discreet aftermath."

I used to wear this exclusively, I loved it. I haven't been able to find it in years.

I'm in the mode where I want to find something different than the norm. I'm tired of all the citrusy smells, extra sweet smells or aquatics. I want something along the masculinish smells like D&G The one... anyone got any ideas?

Today I blind purchased Insurrection by Reyane and Vizzari by Roberto Vizzari while I was looking for Issey Miyake. Anyone else used these?

RIP cumming for men. Leather, sweat, and rubber. Manly shit.

Generally, men don't walk into Victoria's Secret looking for cologne.

It's one of the best retail colognes you can get. Affordable and smells great. Lasts long as well. If you're not going for imported, you can't beat Very Sexy.

My biggest problem with most of the "designer" colognes posted in this thread is they don't last. You either have to bathe yourself in it to make it last through an 8 hour workday or you're constantly refreshing the scent. I want something that isn't overpowering when you first spray it on, but mixes with your natural pheromones and sweat to produce a scent that lasts throughout the day.

Tabac Original if you don't mind importing. Apparently it's a retail cologne in Germay, but it has one of the most masculine, long-lasting scents I've tried.

Very Sexy for Men is really good. As I stated before I have over 35 different colognes and this is one that gets refilled. It's cheap and smells really damn good. Now Very Sexy for men 2 kinda sucked when I smelled it once.

  1. Soul - BOSS - Women love it - Nightclub and dates
  2. Code - ARMANI - Chicks love it - Nightclub
  3. Aqua di gio - ARMANI - Women love it - Everyday use

I really enjoy Hugo Boss for Men. Something about it that makes me feel good. The added benefit of my partner liking it doesn't hurt either - though she was the one who chose it.

Very Sexy for Men retails for $40-$50, not exactly cheap for a chain store brand. I'd be willing to try it out if it weren't priced in the same league as the fashion house brands.

I purchased Armani Code and Bvlgari Aqva.

I was going to get the Bvlgari Aqva Marine for day use since I heard it is a lighter version of the Aqva, but the Aqva was a much better price right now. Is the Bvlgari Aqva too strong for everyday use? How about Armani Code

Polo Black
Acqua Di Gio (even though it's overpriced and dated)
Diesel

Polo Black, though... Never heard anything but compliments whenever I put it on.

I don't have a favorite cologne.

I put on deodorant. When I'm going out I might spray some body spray under my shirt just to be safe but that's usually it. I have had some tiny little bottles of cologne my roommate gave me recently - they're nothing special, she got them from some sample pack at a party but since they're Men's Cologne she didn't need em. I sprinkle that on my neck for dates and shit.

I got my two colognes today. I was kind of worried because the small boxes didn't seem as neatly boxed as Amazon's usual stuff (I'm used to their dvd boxes maybe) and one of them said it shipped from the returns location.

I tried the Armani Code and it smells great. I'll probably try the Aqva later.

Insurrection by Reyane Tradition is one of the few... maybe the only cologne that I've actually thrown away. Has an old person smell, sort of like an old grandma. Didn't care for that one at all.

I enjoy Aqva Marine better than Aqva, since Aqva has some kind of note in there that gives it a more 'mature' smell. Marine is lighter and more pleasing to my nose.

1. Nothing else comes even remotely close to me

3. Great scent and so nostalgic for me (my father absolutely loves it :) )

Need a Cologne official topic (if there isn't one now)

Bought some of the Cologne recommendations in the thread. I've only used Davidoff Cool Water for the longest time. Been wanting to extend my range, so yeah, cool thread.

Gucci Guilty Intense or Burberry Brit Limited Edition may be my 'mature' more masculine type scents. I'm deciding hard between those two at the moment.

Very Sexy for Men was a great discovery. A platonic female friend told me that she thought it was a great scent, and I couldn't help but agree. It's not that expensive, either, at least not as colognes go.

After Ralph Lauren Silver I went with Sean Jon. Now that that bottles finished I went with

I think its my favourite so far though I might get another bottle of Sean Jon to mix it up.

Never seems to get much love, but I really like Lanvin. Sure, I like Aqua di Gio, Code and all that stuff a lot too, but in my town you literally can't walk 10 metres without someone wearing it.

Mom bought me Armani Code as a gift. Got a lot of compliments. Ran out and bought Le Male based on reviews; it's ok I guess, but it's a fall/winter cologne. When I run out of that, I'll get Armani Code again. Or maybe I'll just get it again anyway lol.

My Mom bought my Dad Paco Rabbane 1 Million recently and I used it for a bit and liked it better than my Le Male.

I'm gonna have to buy D&G Light Blue now that Spring just started thanks to this thread.

For the Light Blue, is there another really good one I could cross-shop it with?

Well, I guess I'm gonna have to cross shop the D&G Light Blue with the Burberry For Men. Which one is the better one, the regular Burberry or the Brit?

Edit: Actually I think I'm going to get both the Light Blue and one of the Burberrys lol.

You should go out and smell them since smells are so subjective. I'm not a huge fan of the original Burberry Brit... It has a sort of fresh, peppermintish/soda smell... I actually prefer Burberry Brit Limited Edition, which is more woodsy and masculine. It's been a while since I smelled the original Burberry and it didn't particularly stand out to me to where I just remember the smell. The Burberry I actually really enjoy is Burberry London.
