We all had one, that car that made our young teenage self want to be inside something more than anything else in the world. For me, it was the 1967 Shelby Mustang from Gone in 60 Seconds. The movie keeps showing you a bunch of random Mercedes and Lamborghinis but it was when this car was shown, that my legs started shaking. At the time, I had no idea why I felt this way, but I knew it was right.

Earlier today I saw the same type of Shelby on the highway, and my legs started shaking.

My dad's 93 Twin Turbo Supra growin' up. One year he took it up to Yosemite and took some deserted but well paved (weird I know) roads super fast. It was so fun.

Your dad is cool.

Edit: gone in 60 seconds, what are you 12?

My 1st car crush was Tom Seleck's Ferrari in magnum pi. Or possibly knight rider.

The first car I loved was a Shelby Cobra as like a 12 or 13 year old.

But, the first realistic car I really liked was the Acura TL, which I loved for a while, and finally bought a couple years ago.

I've never gotten sexual arousal from a car before.

First car I ever wanted was a mid to late 1980's VW Rabbit/Cabriolet convertible. I was easy to please

Broner!!!

Now that's that's out of the way...

That car is just goddamn sex. I'd give it a rimjob if it asked.

96 Corvette Grand Sport, which I learned about thanks to Gran Turismo. I had a thing for Corvettes until I developed taste, but still have a little affection for this one.

This was the first, for whatever reason. I was something like 11 years old and grabbed an issue of Motor Trend at the store and salivated over the pictures for days:

This was the first car I "obsessed over":

Keep in mind I know very little about cars and am anything but a gearhead.

Probably before I ever saw any amazing cars in person, or even in any form of media, I fell in love with them as Hot Wheels and Micro Machines. (I was born in 78)

I loved the shape of Corvettes when I was a really little kid; in particular the classic stingray style vettes.

I also liked the old school 1930's cars, both in model form, and when I saw them in Indiana Jones movies.

Those are more earliest car love memories. As I got older, my tastes changed significantly, but I've always had an interest in cars, mostly aesthetic (I'm no gearhead).

First?

Not much of a car guy, but damn I loved the Delorean.

Then I got older and loved this due to a racing game:

'95 Diablo SV. Meh.

A few more years, I wanted to own this super badly:

'99 Mazda Miata. I know, ew.

Now?

Now I finally got some taste.

It was all the legendary Japanese sports cars from the '90s. FD RX-7, Supra TT, 300zx, Skyline GT-R... My heart skipped when I saw one of them on the road, and importing a Skyline GT-R was the ultimate impossible dream.

The time has passed, and I have a 911 now, but in the back of my mind I'll probably always want them.

Probably the Ferrari F50, I was 7 or 8 when I first saw one in a magazine and instantly fell in love with cars
