What Consoles/Games have you bought at launch?

Vita bundled with Modnation Racers, also bought Uncharted and Dynasty Warriors Next.
3DS with Samurai Warriors Chronicles, Pilotwings and SFIV, got Steel Diver for free.

Before that, I never had money to buy systems at launch. Wii U hasn't launched here yet, but I think I'll wait and see before buying it.

Nintendo 64 - Super Mario 64, Pilotwings
Dreamcast - Sonic Adventure, Powerstone
PS2 - Tekken Tag Tournament, Dynasty Warriors 2
Gameboy Advance - Super Mario Advance
PSP - twisted Metal Head-on, Wipeout Pure
Wii - Twilight Princess
3DS - Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars
Wii U - Zombie U, New Super Mario Bros U, BLOPSII, Trine, Nano Assault Neo

Nintendo 64 - Super Mario 64, Wave Race 64, Pilotwings 64, Shadows of the Empire
GameCube - Luigi's Mansion, Wave Race: Blue Storm, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, Rogue Leader
Game Boy Advance - Super Mario Advance, Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, F-Zero: Maximum Velocity

Consoles I bought later than launch: Game Boy Color, NES, Genesis, Playstation 3, Wii.

Lemme see...

Super Nintendo: Super Mario World (pack-in)
PSOne: Ridge Racer and NBA Jam T.E.
Nintendo 64: Super Mario 64
Dreamcast: Soul Calibur
PlayStation 2: Ridge Racer V and Tekken Tag Tournament
GBA SP: Sonic Advance 2
Nintendo DS: Super Mario 64 DS
DS Lite
Wii: Wii Sports (pack-in), Twilight Princess, Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
3DS: Ridge Racer, Nintendogs + Cats, Pilotwings Resort, and LEGO Star Wars III
3DS XL
Wii U: Nintendo Land (pack-in), New Super Mario Bros. U, and Rabbids Land

And if we want to extend it slightly to systems I got around their "launch window"...

GameCube: Luigi's Mansion
PS Vita: Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Xbox 360: Dead or Alive 4

Well I wanted a Wii at launch but Wal-Mart ran out so I waited outside Best Buy a week later to get it.

And that's pretty much it. I wanted an Xbox 360 and Nintendo 3DS at launch though. (but too poor to acknowledge it)

Intellivision - Armor Battle
NES - Ice Climber, 10 Yard Fight
Genesis - Altered Beast, Tommy Lasorda Baseball
SNES - SimCity III
Playstation - Toshinden, NBA Jam
Dreamcast - Soul Caliber, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing
PS2 - Madden, Smugglers Run, SSX
Xbox - NFL Fever, Halo:Combat Evolved
360 - COD2, FIFA: Road to World Cup, PDZ, Madden

Looking back..man, what a trip. The most memorable would probably be 360 launch followed by PS2.

PlayStation - Toshinden and Ridge Racer

Dreamcast - Soul Caliber, Sonic Adventure

PSP - Lumines, Ridge Racer, Wipeout, Metal Gear Acid, Twisted Metal, Tony Hawk, Untold Legends

360- Perfect Dark, Project Gotham, Call of Duty 2, Madden

Vita - Rayman, Lumines, Hot Shots Golf, Wipeout, Super Stardust, Mutant Blobs Attack

SuperNES: SMW, Pilotwings
SEGA CD: (I think I waited for actual games. I didn't buy any of the FMV stuff)
32X: Star Wars
Sega Saturn: Panzer Dragoon; Clockwork Knight
Sony PlayStation: Toshinden
Nintendo 64: Mario 64, Pilotwings (deja vu!!)
Dreamcast: Sonic, Soul Calibur
PS2: Tekken Tag; SSX
Xbox: DoA3; Halo
GameCube: Luigi's Mansion; Rogue Squadron
Wii: Zelda
Wii U: NSMBU; ZombiU

I've never bought a console at launch. More expensive, but with less good games to play? I can wait.

Yeah, the Wii U has kind of burned me. I think I am going to go this route with the new consoles.

If you mean "day one", none. Two were close, though -- I got a Game Boy Color (with one game, Pocket Bomberman) for Christmas 1998, just a few months after that system's release, and a Gamecube (with one game, Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader) just after Thanksgiving 2001, about a week after release. Everything else I have was bought somewhere between a couple and many years after its release.

Rogue Leader was the only GC game I had for over a month, but it was so worth getting at launch... amazing, amazing game!

A Nintendo 64 with Mario 64 and Pilotwings 64. It was my first console too and my first experience of 3D games. Needless to say I was totally mindblown.

It's a shame the console flopped; my then young mind couldn't fathom how that happened.

I also got the GameBoy Colour with Wario Land 2 and Link's Awakening and later the GameBoy Advance with Mario Kart: Super Circuit.

Since then I haven't purchased a console at launch.

Dreamcast - NFL 2K, Sonic Adventure, Power Stone, House of The Dead 2, Ready 2 Rumble - hot dam.
PS2 - Kessen, Madden, Dynasty Warriors - decent
Gamecube - Luigi's Mansion, Rogue Squadron 2, Super Monkey Ball - solid
Xbox - Halo, Furion Frenzy - garbage
360 - Kameo - butt
Wii U - NSMBU. wait wut.

Every Nintendo handheld/console pre-Wii U/3DS. Though I don't regret purchasing any of them at launch, the Wii is the only one that I didn't keep for the life of the system. I did get a Wii U and 3DS in the "launch window" but not day one.

Wii U - Assassin's Creed III, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land was a pack in.

Within a week to a month, I got Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, Zombi U. I now own (digitally) Need For Speed Most Wanted U, Lego City Undercover, InJustice: Gods Among Us, and if you count it, Rayman Legends: Challenges App.

Of course, a bunch of virtual console games as well as demos. : )

I love my Wii U.

man was I hyped. Even at 4 I knew this was the future.

When I was a wee lad (about the freak out kid's age actually) I got a N64 "at launch," ie for Christmas, and I was the one kid that DIDN'T get Mario 64 with it lol. I got Wave Race, loved it, but quickly became very jealous of everyone else playing and raving about Super Mario (and I had a Genesis before that so I'd still never owned a Mario game!) :P

Why oh why would I buy a low res black and white Gameboy when this technical marvel was released at the same time?!?

I have to say that I often (but not always) buy a console at day one... Dunno why sometimes, just can't resist. I never regret though, I enjoy all of them.

Nintendo 64 & Mario 64
Dreamcast & Toy Commander, Sonic Adventures
Game Boy Advance & F-Zero, Castlevanua, Mario Advance
GameCube & Luigi's Mansion
Xbox & Halo
PS2 & SSX
DS & Wario, Mario 64, Project Rub
360 & Perfect Dark Zero, Condemned
Wii & Zelda TP, Red Steel, Super Monkey Ball
3DS & Street Fighter IV
PSP & Ridge Racer
PS VITA & Uncharted, Wipeout, Everybody's Golf
Wii U & ZombiU, NSMBU, Nintendo Land

And probably the PS4 and the Infinite when they'll come out.

Xbox
Xbox 360
Wii
DS
Wii U
Buying consoles at launch is an all around bad experience. It's a nightmare to go and get a console, most launch titles are total garbage and are held back by previous gen versions. I used backwards compatibility most of the time for at least a year, if not two before any killer apps released.

In other words, I will never buy on launch again.

PS2 - SSX

Wii - Twilight Princess, Rayman Raving Rabids

I've bought many video cards on "launch day" but that doesn't usually go with a game.

Edit: also PSP with Lumines and Wipeout, but I didn't keep the system past the 30 day return policy cause it gave me such awful hand cramps.

I've only bought one console at launch and it was the DS. And even then, all I had for it for a long time was that Metroid demo that came with it lel
