WWE.com actually has a cool feature called "Where are they now?" about the current lives of past wrestlers (who are not dead). Some interesting tidbits:
Steve Blackman: Runs MMA gym
Haku: Car spa manager
Shawn Stasiak: Chiropractor
Spike Dudley: Financial planner
Chuck Palumbo: Runs a custom motorcycle shop

Few of them end up getting a "normal" job.
I think those who used to write their own lyrics can live off of their royalties. Those who didn't do anything music-wise tend to turn to reality shows. Others just try to stay relevant at all costs (releasing singles, viral videos or showing up at red carpet events to convey the illusion that they're still worth mentioning).
I tell you, it must not be easy having known fame and chasing after it.

The way tv goes these days anybody famous will eventually come back in some form on some kind of show... Majority of the time reality tv.

I sometimes wonder what Steve Brookstein and David Sneddon get up to nowadays. There's no chance they made enough money in their fortnight of fame to have lasted more than a decade.

They're the ones that must be somewhat depressing. Where you're easily recognisable, but not in such a way that you can make a living from it.
