• Hey Guest. Check out your NeoGAF Wrapped 2025 results here!

What game would make you yell if announced?

Have they ever said why Suikoden II isn't on PSN? I'd love to catch up on this series, but I'm still missing II and don't really feel like spending that much on the game.
No, but we've guessed. I know it's probably because Konami can't remember what Suikoden is.

Or they might get complaints from people overcharging for a physical copy on eBay, lol.

OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOD!

D:

You have expensive tastes, my dear!
It wasn't expensive when it first came out. But it's really good. :(

I can see people charging as much as the cost of an engagement ring for a sealed copy. I still say play GS5 and use a recruitment faq if you feel like you need to get all SoDs in one playthrough. There is a NG+ which carries over money, the hero's name, shared pool of items, skill books, warehouse stuff, etc.

You could play Suikoden III since one of the protagonists is one of the best females in gaming.

I love the original game a lot, but I don't know if you'd be into it because of its dated nature.

A Human Becoming said:
Do not play V unless you plan on getting all 108 stars of destiny. DO NOT.
Yeah, I guess that'd be the case too. Use a recruitment faq if needed.

But GS1, GS2, and GS5 are my favourites. :3

These days I barely get excited about any new games since they basically fall in these 3 categories for me:

1. I'm expecting the sequel anyway (Dead Space, Assassin's Creed...)
2. I don't have high hopes for a sequel for one reason or another (Golden Sun)
3. I feel already lucky enough I got the last game (Sin & Punishment)

but there is one thing that would absolutely explode my balls were it shown and that is

Half-Life 2: Episode 3 or Half-Life 3

I like to pride myself on the fact that I remain collected and calm at any exciting announcements but not when it's Half-Life. That's when my inner 5 year old comes out and starts to paint the walls with his piss and vomit. I'd lose my shit. Seriously.

Silent Hill 5 by a re-united Team Silent. A one-time only thing, like a re-union tour.
Homeworld 3
Valkyrie Profile 3
Vampire: Bloodlines 2 by a re-united Troika and no deadline
Mechwarrior with a single player campaign
Okami 1+2+3 PC version
Red Dead Redemption PC

Suikoden VI
Capcom VS SNK 3
Diablo 3 or Torchlight 2 for Vita (loot gaming in bed)
Final Fantasy VII Remake for HD consoles or next gen systems

Kingdom Hearts 3
Persona 5
Wave Race U
Eternal Darkness 2
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles 2 (like the GC one)
Four Swords Zelda with online co-op

Metroid 5 on 3DS
Zelda on Wii U without motion controls of any kind
Zelda 3DS with OoT engine and same style gameplay
Star Fox 2 for Wii U
Perfect Dark 2
Banjo Kazooie 3
TimeSplitters 4
Final Fantasy Versus XIII
Kingdom Hearts 3

only like one or two of those will happen at E3 unfortunately

Let's see, for me:

inFAMOUS for Vita (new city and protagonist).
inFAMOUS 3 for PS3 (continuation of Cole's story).

A new Ratchet and Clank on par with A Crack in Time.

A release date for The Last of Us.

A release date for The Last Guardian.

Some version of Demon's Souls or Dark Souls for the Vita (I'd totally double dip if it was just a port).

Jak and Daxter 4 for the PS3 and Vita.

Dark Cloud 3 for the PS3 and Vita.

Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Pretty much any new IP that looks great will get me excited also. I'm really pumped for this year's E3. I'm hoping I'll get to try out some awesome stuff, but I'm only doing one day this year. I just don't have the energy to do all 3 (and I don't like the idea of missing 3 days worth of pay just to play some video games. lol).

That sounds awesome! O:

Considering I have a habit of buying JRPGs and never finishing them, anything with dated mechanics is out of the question. I'll never complete it!

Thanks~
No problem. :)

This is the character I was talking about. Suikoden III has three protagonists, but she's probably my favourite out of the three. I'm not a huge fan of Suikoden III-- I like its story a lot, but the game part of it isn't much to my liking. But a lot of other people feel differently (ie: love the story, love the gameplay), so you might like it more than I do too. Playing the previous two games might be better since GS3 has some nods to the previous games, but for the most part, the stories are self-contained enough for you to enjoy them without playing the other games in the series.

And I figured as much. LOL, that's why I've stopped recommending the OG Suikoden left and right to people since it's pretty old. It's one of my favourite games of the forever, but other people might not feel the same way since the other games improve on its formula a lot.

A female character wearing clothing that doesn't show ridiculous amounts of skin? What magical fantasy land have I fell into, Schala?

Oh man how could I forget about inFamous!? I really hope they show a new inFamous game at E3, really really hope they do. Although not on Vita, because then I'd have to buy a Vita.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 for PC, with easy to use make your own custom scenery, were you can apply textures of images from your computer, a more realistic but easy to use Roller Coaster creator and a faster way go through building menus and making buildings.
THIS WOULD BE MY MOST PRECIOUS ANNOUNCEMENT, I would shout, scream with ecstasy, roll through the house.
Also dammit, realese RCT3D NOW! fucking atari!

Other amazing screams my neighbours would not appreciate:

-Super Smash Bros 4 if the first trailer has Little Mac and Ridley as newcomers.

-New Super Mario World, 2D hand drawn graphics ala Wario Shake or Rayman origins. Yoshi all the time, the map from world, cape, koopalings and all that stuff.

-FFIX remake for 3DS

-Bully 2

-F-Zero WuX

-Star Fox, for WiiU like 64/SNES but bigger (have talked too many times of what I want for Star Fox).

Roller Coaster Tycoon 4: Don't leave us with RCT 3D please

I like the cut of your jib.

* Timesplitters 4
* New 2D Mega Man that kicks ass like the Zero series
* A new and good Perfect Dark game made by Rare that respects the legacy of their old N64 FPS.
* A new Banjo game made by Rare, I don't care if it's Nutz & Boltz 2, I loved that game too. But I wouldn't mind another game in the vein of the N64 Banjo.
* FF Type-0 Vita port instead of the PSP version, with high resolution graphics and camera controls mapped on the right stick
* Anything by Retro Studios

A new OutRun.

A proper Ace Combat (NO STRANGEREAL, NO PARTY!)

Crimson Skies 2.

Daytona USA 3.

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 4.

Project Gotham Racing 5.

Borderlands 2-OH WAIT THAT ONE IS ALREADY BEING MADE :D

these days I've been craving Baten Kaitos.

a new Baten Kaitos game developed by the co-op team of tri-crescendo and monotlith for WiiU.

FINALLY is the word I will scream to the skies.

Call of Duty MW4 LOL I kid I kid...actually I probably would yell but not out of joy

If they announced another game set in the Mass Effect universe prior to it being destroyed by the ending of 3 I'd be super happy.

I'd love a new Breath of Fire too. Knowing Capcom, though...

Or a new Yoshi's Island for 3DS.

A female character wearing clothing that doesn't show ridiculous amounts of skin? What magical fantasy land have I fell into, Schala?
And her character evolution is done rather decently to boot. I know, right? :O

But to be fair, there are other females in the series who do show skin. >.>

- Mother 4
- Golden Sun 4
- Any sort of Pokemon remake for 3DS
- FF7 3D
- Wonderswan games for VC
- New Treasure game

Any of the above will make me poop myself. Then my poop will poop on itself.
