Does Blizard has said anything about the future of this series? Any hint? Interview?

A found some excitement about a new entry on the Internet but nothing concrete from Blizard:

I would love (and buy for sure) a new game. For some odd reason, I got more excited about the game when I saw the trailer of Castle of Heart

I can't see Activision Blizzard do something that isn't a sure-fire sale. That dude is kind of crazy to think it would sell millions.

One of my all time favorite video game series. I might have to replay them soon. Any other games that scratch this itch? I remember playing some game called the cave (or something that) that had similar gameplay but wasn't as good. Trine is also kinda similar but not as good imo

I think where the devs of those similar games go wrong is the level design. In trine and the cave game, the puzzles are too easy because they are meant to be solved by using a slew of different characters, where as in Vikings, many puzzles could only be solved using a specific Viking.

At least GTAV is a modern game that has continued character switching.
Hopefully more games embrace this.
