What happened to Wentworth Miller?

Joel Was Right

If you smell burning, it's probably the generators acting up. Report it anyway.
The guy was huge in 2005 and onwards due to his role in Prison Break, but his work after that has been pretty mute to say the least. What other actors/actresses hit fame because of a television series and then just dropped off the scene?

Keifer Sutherland.

The guy pretty much created modern TV, where is he since 24 ended? I know he had that one awful looking show last year I think it was but that didn't take off.

Wasn't he Chris Redfield?

LOL

Whatever happened to Colin Farell?

He was touted as being the shit, was in a lot of big name movie in the early 00s, had an excellent comeback in 08 with a golden globe from In Bruges and then just vanished...

Touch, the show you're talking about, got picked up for a second season I believe.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Horrible Bosses, and he's staring in the remake of Total Recall.

He's in the upcoming big-budget remake of Total Recall.

Speaking of "In Bruges" he is in the film "Seven Psychopaths" from the same writer director coming out this fall.

To be fair 24 just ended what? 2 years ago? Since then he got a lead on what was built up to be a big show and did an amazing web-series.

He's doing pretty good for himself, it's only been 2 years since 24 ended.

Where as Wentworth did what since Prison Break ended in 2008/2009? Played in a Resident Evil movie? I think he did a small part in House and Law and order and that's it.

He came out that probably hurt him with the leading man/ Hearthrob roles. He voice was annoying in prison break it reminds me of the horrible Bale Batman voice.

Hey, it's just a thought. It is believed that a lot of Hollywood actors hide their sexual orientation because it might be damaging to their career as leading men.

I don't have a problem with it. Perhaps his fans did.

Or maybe he just doesn't like acting that much. He made his money and is on to something else.

Also, Neal Patrick Harris's entire career is now based on the fact that he parodies his sexual orientation by acting like a super sex-crazed hetero in films like Harold and Kumar and in the television show How I Met Your Mother.

There are plenty of openly gay actors doing quite well for themselves.

I can agree with your statement on damaging their careers if this was the 70s, 80s and maybe early 90s but it just doesn't matter now and he came out at a time where it didn't matter. He isn't a great actor and that's why he will never be anything huge.

He came out in 2006, after How I Met Your Mother started and after Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.$

The reason is quite simple; not a lot of actors make the jump from a television show to a succesful movie career. And after so many years of Prison Break, it is difficult to cast him in another television role.

If Milla Jovovich can be successful, so can he. I'm rooting for him to be in a Nolan flick. That will immediately bring him back.

He did have that two-episode something role in Law & Order SVU.

But I dunno, I only liked the guy on the first season of Prison Break and after that... eh.

Because it killed Neal Patrick's career.

Plenty of people in hollywood are gay.

Equity (Britain's all inclusive acting union) says 57 % of all of their members are gay, and that was a self-reporting survey.

Besides Kiefer Sutherland is gay too, and he's doing just fine. Wentworth just moved on to a different phase in his career. (ETA: And we must not forget that he got fat, too, of course.)

I'm not sure about that.
