What is GAF's Favorite Dad moment in games?

Since today is fathers day I thought it's be kinda cool to look back on moments in videogames that involve dad's or fatherhood in some way. Be it a father makes a sacrifice, or is faced with immense adversity, is a massive jerk, or does something genuinely heroic. Anything goes!

A few examples I can think of are
Joel in the intro of TLOU

The ending of Red Dead Redemption

The Ending of MGS4

So GAF what are your favorite moments in games involving a Dad?

Dad 76 jokes

The ending to a recent big console game where he's retired and has dad shorts. Because you know you dad when dad shorts all of a sudden appear on you. And I guess daughter too.

In Octodad
Saving his family from a lunatic sushi chef.

Also that secret lair level in the first game
Not to mention the ending was kind of sweet and hilarious how
Everyone accepts him for who he really is, but then the son asks how him and the daughter are even humans and the game ends
lmao

Dragon Quest V:

Pankraz (aka your father) basically sacrifices himself in a rescue mission but it's momentarily in vain
when you're sold into slavery
.

If you're a Dwarven Noble in Dragon Age: Origins, you can have a threesome with two dwarven women and after you're exiled when you return later, one of them tells you that she had your son. And you can say, 'lol i'm exiled not my problem' in so many words.

The entirety of Dragon Quest V is my favorite dad moment.

Such feels

EDIT
& hell yeah, that FF VI stuff with Shadow

And to follow up on that, during the end
you and your kid defeat Ladja and Nimzo
although that's more of a family moment than a dad moment.

Isnt the entire plot of Final Fantasy X one giant dad?

My favorite part of that whole thing is
Tidus and Jecht don't even reconcile or have an awful, cheesy "Ah actually love you son!" "Ah know pa!" moment. It basically goes "Still a crybaby? Man I was a shit dad" "Yeah, you were. But now you won't be a monster anymore. Peace" No great coming together of being sorry. Jecht is regretful but still an ass and Tidus understands his dad now but still doesn't like him for being a shit dad.

For a hammy game, this was surprisingly realistic and sorta astonishing coming from a country whose media almost universally likes pulling the "BUT YOU'RE RELATED YOU HAVE TO LOVE YOUR PARENTS"

Dead Rising 3 when
Annie is actually Katie and her dad is Chuck, and Chuck gets all 'dad' over her and the protagonist whose name escapes me.

This was the first that sprang to mind.

And though it isn't a positive dad moment, when Kratos finally squares off against Zeus. The emotion of the moment, the feeling of betrayal, and how it suddenly goes sideways and starts playing like a fighting game. That moment had me on my feet in my old tiny living room. I scared my dog, hah.

The first time Joel called Ellie "baby girl."

Geralt giving Ciri a witcher sword. Also, Geralt killing Whoreson for hurting Ciri was pretty damn satisfying.

Big Boss and Old Snake hugging it out. Powerful, powerful stuff. Love that so much.

I submit papa Nier for the "most well meaning but actually terrible dad" award.

Dude, your daughter is dying of fantasy cancer and just wants to spend time with you. I know you're scouring the world to find a cure for her, but maybe take some time off and stay with her for a while?

Almost the entirety of Dragon Quest V for me. Double dad moments for your character's dad being awesome, and then you get to be awesome for your own children.
