What is the general consensus on The Division?

Personally put it in the same boat as Destiny. Fun in the beginning then just felt it got repetitive and boring near the end game.

Destiny is infinitely better. OP, enjoy the Division for 20-30 hours and walk away. Lots of weird bugs and issues coupled with a bunch of dickholes in the DZ.

I still can't believe it... wow. I NEED to find the initial reactions to this... what date did it release?

It's a horde mode with one room.

The previous post of The Division being a dumpster fire is fairly accurate, but I think "rolling dumpster fire" is a little more on the mark.

They did announce that they're patching out double revives and the talent stacking bug today, so that's something. I eagerly await what tomorrow's game-breaking exploit will be.

Crazy stuff. People were hopeful for (pretty much expecting) a Destiny-Raid type activity...

I had 0 interest in the game from the beginning, but I bought it day 1 anyways because I had just got laid off from my previous job at the time and needed something to sink into. While I did enjoy the game, I had a long list of gripes with it, especially the end game. After the first week of dailies, I completely stopped playing and haven't come back since.

I really wanted to buy it when it launched, but it being an Ubi game convinced me to wait until a substantial price drop.

I still want to play it (along with every Ubi game released after Black Flag), but I won't pay more than $15 for any of their games.

Got my money's worth of fun out of the game. Leveling was a lot of fun, beautifully detailed gameworld. Endgame just lacking and repetitive. Even though Destiny's endgame was also repetitive, it just seemed fun for much longer. I think some of the issue is, for a long term RPG style game, I need to feel attached to my character. Division's characters are just boring, not much to engage the imagination, not much personalization at all. And as well-realized as New York is in this game, it ultimately feels the same pretty much everywhere you go, despite the nice weather/time of day effects, there's just not a lot of variety.
