What is the longest you ever spent on a single player rpg?

HAHAHAHAAA!

For a single playthrough I think AssCreed Odyssey with all DLC slightly edges out FO3 with all DLC at over 300 hrs. FO3 is the clear winner for multiple playthroughs; I've probably put 1000hrs into that game.

Witcher 3, easy. Had abt 80 hrs Wild Hunt campaign, 19 or 20 in Hearts of Stone, & abt 65 in Blood in Wine.

200+ hours on Skyrim (multiple playthroughs.. I'm playing Skyrim PSVR with MOVEcontrollers right now AND loving it!)

200+ hours of Fallout 3 and Fallout 4. Loved the world, came back for the music.

150+ Bioshock. I must've finished the game at least 5 times; on 360, pc, ps4 (platinum)

I've did playthroughs around the 100 hour mark in games like Dragon Age: Inquisition, Mass Effect: Andromeda & The Witcher 3. But the Elder Scrolls titles are on another level for me.

I don't actually know how many hours I've put into Oblivion & Skyrim. Never checked. But I've made several characters in both those games & did a lot of stuff with each one of them. My main Mage in Skyrim must have had close to 300 hours alone.

Maybe I don't actually want to know the numbers, come to think of it.

450+ on BotW
200+ on DS3
1,000+ cumulative hours on skyrim. (As in if you put together the 360, ps4, xbo, pc and switch versions together)

I guess he's suggesting if you spend hundreds of hours on a game, you are a fat basement dweller or something.
Which is weird, this is GAF, a popular gaming forum, that meme could very easily apply to all of us.

95 hours plus on Switcher 3 so far. Not been a big RPG player over the years, but this has properly reeled me in. I haven't played either Xbox or PS version so enjoying it for what it is.

probably when i played the beta of ff11 from xbox360 magazine, it was my first (and last) experience with mmorpg but it was intense, i probably did some 6-7 hours session (but it was summer so no school and more free time)

wait are you talking about longest single session or total number of hours in the same game?

if it's the second case, probably ff7, from literally traducing all the text with the dictionary from eng to italian to at least 15 hours wested just to get that fucking golden chocobo...
if not that, probably persona 5 with 122 hours on the clock.

Probably Divinity OS 180hrs or Wasteland 2 150hrs. Both games i restarted around 20-30hrs because i was getting wrecked and understanding more of the build i needed to win. Playing on hardest difficulty of course.

When I was a young teenager, prior to getting the internet, I spent well over 100 hours doing everything I possibly could in Super Mario RPG.

Hmmm single player... That's really hard... RPGs that i liked enough to play that much, i finished them all pretty quickly.. it might be The Witcher 3, but that was only like 120 hours or something.. it took me almost 20 years to beat MGS2 (i never realised the boss fight i couldn't be bothered beating was the final event) but that's not RPG is it... It might be Deus Ex HR because i completed the release build once and director's cut twice... But yeah to be honest i really can't think of any RPG i would have really sunk hundreds of hours into besides WoW (thousands)...

Probably over 600 hours with FFX.

And not once have I ever grinded to fight the monster arena bosses. I racked up those hours by just playing through the story 12-15 times over these last 20 years (and doing all the side quests besides the arena bosses for most of my playthroughs).

I love the journey and I love going around the world doing the side shit once you get the airship, but maxing out my characters to fight the arena bosses just never seemed worth it to me. If they all had their own dungeons like Omega, then maybe I would.

I've replayed The Witcher 3 at least 4 times including the DLC. Can't help it if the game is still a joy to explore again despite knowing all the secrets inside and out.

My record is over 100 hours for bloodborne.

I have also some other records for casual slingshot games like "Angry Birds " & "The Howitzer" and action & adventure game "Space Runner".

Witcher 3, not sure how long it was, but long enough. I would guess something like 80 hours.

Games I know I've pumped 100+ hours into:
Morrowind - Oblivion - Skyrim
Fable TLC
Persona 3,4, and 5
Witcher 2 and 3
Mass Effect trilogy
KOTOR AND KOTOR 2
Divinity Dragon Knight Saga
Dragon Age 1 and 2
Fallout 3/NV

Kingdom Come Deliverance and I'm in the middle of a replay currently. On consoles the game was a mess for months until it was properly updated. It's jankey as fuck and unpolished in several areas, but I just love bumbling through the countryside with the ever affable and clumsy Henry of Scalitz.

I'm sure there's even more. One thing I do with games like Skyrim is that after I feel I've fleshed out a character as much as I want too, I'll delete its saves entirely and begin anew a few months later. Morrowind was great for this as there were so many classes and factions to role-play with.

I've logged over 800 hours on Mass Effect 3. I've done almost every story choice imaginable.

I miss Mass Effect.

How?

I mean I did the same thing (every choice/piece of content) and I don't remember getting close to 300 hours. Unless you went full completionist on every single run. In which case, wow.

Anyway, around 900 hours in Star Ocean 4. The vast majority of that to finish postgame which sadly I didn't approach with a sufficient plan so lots of wasted hours.

PSO v2 on Dreamcast, I play only offline, probably around 500 hours now.

Otherwise, I spent more than 100 hours on FF XV, and probably as much on many games I played and replayed and replayed, like Dragon Force or Shining Force III.

132 hrs playing Dark Chronicles. "Still holding the save state on my ps2 memory card" , it doesn't take that much time but I suck at RPGs.

I've done about 350 hours in FE: Three Houses. I've done each campaign once and have done most of the supports.

If we're speaking only one playthrough, then the most I've played is 80 hours on Xenoblade Chronicles. Persona 5 Vanilla might break that record, at 20 hours I've just completed the second Palace.

Not sure how long, because I cant count it. I had different saves during the years, but the most time I spent in RPG must be in Gothic 2

150 hours for Fire Emblem Fates (if you count all three sub games as one game). I probably have played Pokémon Red for longer, but I have no data about that.
