What is the longest you've ever sat and played a game?

Two days ago I have played Zelda: Twilight Princess HD continuously for 12 hours . I think my track record is 12-14 hours (maybe while playing MGS V, Dark Souls, Bloodborne or other RPGs) .

When I first got Skyrim, I played from 3 p.m. to 2 A.M. I totally didn't notice until I hit the PS button on the PS3. All I remember is eating homemade burgers and only getting up to use the bathroom.

Far cry 3. Started at 8am one morning and didn't stop until about 11pm that night. Only stopped to pee and grab some food out of the fridge. I'm not proud of it.

Most recent -- I had like a 12/13 hour stent with The Division yesterday. I had food/restroom breaks in between & had Dexter playing in the background, but it was literally an ALL DAY session.

Most notably -- When Gears of War (1) released, my friend & I bought it at midnight, headed home to play, and didn't move until we complete the campaign.

Good times all around.

I normally don't spend more than 2 hours at a stretch.

The two times I remember distinctly were:

1)
The Sims on PS2. I bought it the night before a huge snowstorm, played it for probably 6-7 hours the next day. I remember thinking about the irony that I was making sure my Sim ate, took a shower and used the bathroom and neglected doing all those things myself.

I sold it back the next day.

2)
I played Ocarina of Time for 8 hours straight while my wife was out one day. I was so miserable at the end of the day, and felt like I wasted my entire day.

However, now that I have maybe 3-4 hours a week to play games, I'm craving the possibility of an entire Saturday to play games.

I've played both World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XI in greater than 24 hour sessions. It's been many years since I've done this, but these kind of sessions are the name of the game with MMOs. Actually, I played Final Fantasy VII in 1997 in 3 marathon sessions, one of which was well over 24 hours. And I think I did the same with Final Fantasy VIII and X.

Played KOTOR 2 from start to finish in a weekend with a friend once, ~ 26 hours ( spread over the friday night, saturday and sunday.)

Skyrim was another one, I ended up doing several 14 hour + sessions during uni.

Gone 24 hours + in one sitting on more than one occasion in WoW - mostly for expansion releases.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
29 hours was my longest single play session. This was in the midst of a 3 month binge in which my average play time was 150 hours per week. Do the math. MH is love, MH is life. Also this is my first post ever on Neogaf. Hello everyone.

Longest game I've ever played with no breaks (no bathroom, no food, no sleep, no pausing...)

15+ Hours on Gauntlet 2 NES. See apparently there were 2 versions of this game released in the US. One had an ending. The other looped indefinitely. I was too young to believe a game could exist without an end and stubbornly pushed on using two controllers to keep the game alive (as long as one player is alive the other can continue indefinitely). I can't stand Gauntlet now.

I've played City of Heroes for probably 26 hours straight in college but breaks were included there.

I beat MGS4 in one sitting but the post act installs gave me built in breaks.

I think my longest session of gaming was back in college, one night me and a pal were grinding some levels in FINAL FANTASY XI. Probably spent like 14ish hours roughly in one session. I remember logging off and having one hour of nap time before I had to go to class lmao.

I can do a 10 hour session no problem, but I usually don't because I don't see the point.

Mario 64 the first day I received it
Woke up at 5 AM, went to sleep at midnight, only breaks were to eat and bathroom.
Best day ever.

I think I had a ~10 hour session with Super Mario RPG back in the day. Got a terrible headache from it.

I've played WoW for long sessions, but I always took breaks - an hour here and there, etc.

Probably MH3 on Wii, from 10am to 2am or so. :rip:

Welcome my friend.

See you in the MHG thread.

I remember playing Final Fantasy 7 for 15 hours straight when i was around 14. I couldnt hack that these days, my idea of a binge now is around 5 - 6 hrs

I got one of the WoW "realm first" to level 80 achievements, which took ~23 hours, then 4 hours sleep, then another 22 hours or so.

We happened to have that week off from work and I figured why not.
