What is the most badass boss intro ever?

final boss in bloodborne.

Thank god for the PS4s screenshot feature, because that one shot of
you and Gehrman staring at each other surrounded by the white flowers
was fucking beautiful.

Let's go old school, the first Dark Force from Phantasy Star IV. That moment is laden with plot foreshadowing. The boss emerges from the darkness as a reference to Phantasy star I, and suddenly the whole character of the game changes, provided that you have already played the prequel.

When you first see Metal Gear Rex In Metal Gear Solid, more specifically you see the feet of that behemoth.

The music and the way the camera pans to show just how massive that thing is.

This is when you see REX for the first time, not when it actually gets activated. Can't really find a good video depicting it.

Metal Gear Rising. The whole game just builds on your feeling of unstoppable badassery, ending with a damn Metal Gear getting stomped into a mudhole, then... "Don't fuck with this senator!" and all your badass is gone, stolen.

Sephiroth.
The whole game was his intro. You don't meet Sephiroth until the final battle. Every other appearance was a mindless clone or a flashback.

Gaping Dragon is pretty great

"Haha a tiny little alligator? Come on now is that really.....HOLY SHIT WHAT IS THAT"

Adam the Clown from Dead Rising

Dead Rising had a ton of great intros for the Psychopaths.

Penetrator from Demon's Souls is probably the best from that series. Artorias is an homage, but I think the original is best.

Deathstroke in Arkham Origins.

You're interrogating the Penguin and then all of a sudden Batman gets ganked, dragged across the floor and hung in the air. The way the music kicked in and how random the fight was was so rad.

Ulyaoth in Eternal Darkness.

You finally come across him as Paul Ryan, he rises, and then.... *splat*. He literally just kills your playable character right then and there, the camera zooming in on the bloody mulch that was the guy you just spent the last couple hours playing as.

It's not until you come back way later in the game do you actually get to fight him.

The start of God of War 3, Poseidon. At the time I had not been gaming much for years, what gaming I had been doing was simple Wii games or old PC games on my then crappy PC. I purchased a PS3 on a whim, really, out of boredom and I saw the price had dropped. Blew my socks off. I was like "damn, gaming has come a long way since I last got into it".

Bahamut in FFXI.

I've allways liked the Intro of Magus in Chrono Trigger

With the flames turning on as you walk and Magus appearing from the shadows. It's simple but really captures the "it's finally time to fight him" vibe of the scene.
Then there is dialog and as the fight is about the begin the music slowly starts

I really dig the intro to the KH2 bosses. It's just Sora all hyped up and his party facing the baddie from a bunch of different angles, but you immediately think "Shit just got serious".
