What is the most intense thrill ride you've been on?

Didn't find Hulk too scary, it looked intimidating but the actual ride wasn't bad at all... doing Dueling Dragons back to back was much more intense (since my body wasn't able to handle 2 loopy rollercoasters in a row, I was really nauseous by the middle of the second one).

Superman at 6 Flags Darien Lake I remember being really scary, but that was before I went on many rollercoasters. All I know is that the initial drop was absolutely massive.

I still think the scariest rides are the dodgy carnival rides that are set up in strip mall parking lots, you never know if one of those things are gonna fall apart and send you flying to your death.

Well Canada's wonderland is the best here in Ontario i guess =/ so Behemoth.

Not really anything "intense" about it, aside from the first freefall.

The Dragon at Ocean Park in HK, but only because it juts over the water at a certain point :D

WTF, Dragon is such weaksauce.

I've ridden Top Thrill Dragster in Cedar Point and Kingda Ka in Six Flags Great Adventure. Those were both pretty great and I believe the latter holds several of the current "extreme coaster" records. But the most thrilling ride of my life had to be a static line jump from an airplane over Long Island at only 3000 feet. Very intense and an amazing experience.

Wooden roller coaters always give me a little thrill. Back in the day, there was a park in MD called Wild World (now owned by 6Flags), they had one of the older coasters, and it was horribly maintained, would always get stuck and stuff. You weren't really scared of the ride, but that the whole thing would structure would break and you would die. Kinda like the Coney Island coaster. That thing is OLD.

Shockwave at King's Dominion in VA (is that still open?) when it 1st came out, standing coasters were sort of new, so it was a slightly thrilling ride.

...I miss amusement parks man

My experience with rides is limited to the local fairs and Disneyland. So I haven't been on anything that I would describe as thrilling.

Sky-diving definately was, though. Nothing quite like having a fear of heights and managing to sit out the door of a cessna, shimmy your legs onto the the wheels while getting pounded by the wind, and leaning forward to fall out. I can't imagine a ride coming close to this. Roller-coasters are completely passive. You get on and take what's coming to you. Sky-diving/bungee-jumping require overcoming one of our most primal fears to (actively) put yourself in harm's way.

must have been a very high horse you fell off there, you elitist skydiving bastard!

/jealousy rant/

I went on Dueling Dragons 4x in a row. It was pretty fun but I always preferred Hulk because of the start.
I've yet to go to Darien Lake. I've heard mixed things about that place. The one in Mass is the closest legit Six Flags (as opposed to the joke that Great Escape is now) but the Superman & Batman rides aren't really much to write home about. Their catapult ride on the other hand was probably one of the freakier rides I've ever been on. One of my friends will do a lot of the rides but he hated me for that one.
Fiance and I have discussed taking a trip to Ohio to go to Cedar Point but it didn't work out this summer.
I'll say the worst experience was being hung over and going on the pirate ship. Even the Boomerang didn't hurt me as much as that ride. Never got sick though.

Teacups.

I'm serious.
Oh shit, yeah. There's some at a Family Fun Center near my parents' home. There's no limiter on the speed, so you can turn it as fast as you want. Me, my cousin and a few others got in and got it going so fast you HAD to tuck your head in, or else the force would pull it back.

A few of our hats flew off each time. They told us we couldn't go back on after like 3 times. :(

Millienium Force

Though it wouldn't have been nearly as intense if they had over-the-shoulder restraints. I was freaking out on the way up because all they had to keep me in place was a little bar that wasn't even tight over my knees!

Haven't been to an amusement park in ages, but I agree that X at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA pretty much had my friend and I completely disoriented and freaking out (in a good way) the entire time. That was one of the first rides we went on, and we couldn't stop talking about it the rest of the day. All the other rides, while fun and more traditional, just couldn't compare. Awesome that it's X2 now!

Now they changed it to X2

Only answer

X2 is the same rider but with new cars so it doesnt break as often. They have integrated speakers and theres a point where the ride shoots fire at you. Besides that, its the same amazing ride

I would say Mavrick at Cedar Point, than Millenium Force. I saved Top Thrill Dragster for the very last ride...I waited 20 minutes and I reached the front gates, two more carts and it was go time. Than it rained and I swore a lot for the next 6 hours.
