What is the worst Wii game of all time?

I was bored...

This needs more love. Well played.

And again, I envy people who can claim Skyward Sword or Xenoblade as the worst Wii game they've played. That's near-royalty status disappointment.

Seeing Xenoblade several times mention makes me cry on the inside. Sure it's not for everyone, but I spent way too much of my own time playing it. Soon I'll go for round 2 and 100% it. But I liked the battle system. Like someone mentioned, felt it was a better system than FFXII had.

Anyway, my pick would probably be Endless Ocean. I was looking forward to it. And don't get me wrong, I love the exploration part. But I hate the caged in atmosphere. Go in one area, can only explore that area. Gotta worry about air. Yeah I know we have to worry about air in real life. That's why I'd prefer not to worry about it in a game. I just want to explore. And maybe scare myself running into a whale or something.

The missions and stuff on it where pretty lame and I hated them. And I just felt like the whole thing was kind of clunky. It was a disappointment. But I tended to stay away from games that were bad, looked bad, or really had bad reviews for good reasons. I don't like to give companies wanting free money any.

To be fair, I was reviewing games for a while earlier in the Wii's lifespan, so I was obligated to play review copies (freely received, thank God). Some people might feel a little more experimental, or more likely, they received the crappy game as a well-meaning gift from an unknowing relative or friend. That's an awkward situation to be in: "Thanks for the game, but I have taste." Yeah, no. So you suck it up, try it out and probably resell it later.

Worst I've played? Smackdown vs Raw 09.

Goddamn load times out the ass. On top of that, game would crash abruptly.

Motion controls weren't too great after the nth match.

FF: My Life as a King might hit up 2nd place if only due to how repetitive it is.

(In fairness though, most of the games I have for my Wii are considered good/great games. lol)

I just found that the worst Wii games, sales-wise, is this
Sukeban Shachou Rena

it sold 100 copies total before Nintendo decided to take it off the shelves, haha

Holy crap, I recognize that game now. I remember seeing a video of the cat dodging minigame a year or two back. Was pretty funny.

Only 100 copies though? Ouch.

Endless Ocean 2 fixed a lot of my problems with the first one, but if you didn't enjoy the first one, I'm not certain you'd really enjoy the second.

Oh, I realize some folks perhaps got the game as a gift. Not much you can do about that. Smile and pray, haha.

I'm curious as to what issues were corrected in Endless Ocean 2. Still have a feeling it's restrictive though. Never bothered to read anything about it after some of the disappointment from playing the first.

Don't get me wrong, I can get some enjoyment out of exploring the depths. It's just not as fun as it could have been.

The worst Wii game I ever played was Dokapon Kingdom. I thought that a JRPG/Board game would be fun.

LITTLE DID I KNOW I WOULD GRIM REAPER EVERY DAMN TURN.

Don't play that game with people you like. It's a long, boring game in which everything will dick you over.

Completely false. My strange Norwegian friend and I had a wonderful time with the game. We would play a few rounds at a time whenever we had free time, so it never went on too long. The game was just ridiculously hilarious.

SHAZZSPOT!

Wiiware has some REALLY bad ones ... but I will totaly not remember their names =/

Actualy ... I think in this thread it kinda fits.

Lots of people didn't played much stuff outside the OMFG tier games .. so the worst game THEY PLAYED will be a very good game, the only problem being that it is next to stuff liek Mario Galaxy =P

edit :

Wich makes me think ... what is the worst Virtual Console game you played ?

I have to go with Moster Boy for master system ... game didn't aged very good

The worst VC game I bought was Solomon's Key. It was one of the first releases for the thing, and I remember Dragona praising it - her and I have similar tastes in games and I generally like puzzle-platformers so I figured I'd try it.. But alas it just wasn't my thing. Love the Mighty Bomb Jack cameo though!

Madden '08 was pretty bad. That was so glitchy. Definitely the worst Wii game that I played.

Other M is up there for the guilty pleasure award I suppose. All of the face palming story moments aside and the less than optimal control scheme, I did finish that game.
