w00t, nothing says stylish like paying companies to advertise for them!

Aside for a Portal 2 shirt that's too big for me now, this is my only nerd shirt that I wear:

To be honest, I only wear it these days when I'm sparring. There's something satisfying about beating the crap out of someone whilst wearing a shirt with a cat eating pizza.

Ha ha. Nice. And I agree. But then if you don't get it, it just looks weird. But I guess that's okay.

I'll just use what you said as an excuse to post this:

No copyright infringment there, sort of, and it's a great design. But I would probably prefer it on my wall!

I got that one :) Now that I think of it, this is pretty much my only videogame t-shirt. And yes, those crossover things are atrocious. So are those "look at the logo of this famous company" things.

What would you consider reasonable for a $20 - $25 t-shirt?

I'm honestly not sure. Deviantart had amazing pricing, something around $15 a shirt (including allover prints n stuff) and ~$9 for shipping to germany, at max IIRC.

There's always a snobbish/douchey feel in "the air" whenever there's a thread on gaf dealing with clothes or fashion. A nerds hating on other nerds vibe i just dont get.

I wasn't trying to be snobbish in the OP, but it's funny how a place like Teefury (who use quality shirts, and are for the most part screen printed as opposed to digital) has transitioned from offering nice unique designs to what basically amounts to a collection of Dr. Who and Portal shirts (or a combination of the two).

Also woot/threadless print their stuff on shirts as thin as handkerchiefs...

Nerd-chic is in. Obnoxious shirts that declare "look how much of a nerd I am" are what's hot.

Some are really cool, though. I particularly liked the red samurai shirt someone posted on here.

I guess if you're a geezer, graphic tees might be tacky, but being 23, I'll still sport my video game and death metal shirts.

Geeky or not, I've had more compliments in the last few weeks while wearing these two shirts out:

...than I have in several years of wearing classy modern tees/v-necks/button ups.

Make of that what you will.

Megan Lara does some great art. I have this one by her

I have a handful of graphic tees. They are all pretty minimalist though, no text, usually just a logo/symbol. Not for the company that made the shirt, though, for something else. Most were gifts but a few are ones that I bought. I usually wear button down shirts or (plain) polos.

Man, I feel like going shopping now. I really should start buying one or two shirts or a pair of jeans with each paycheck.

My wardrobe is either Woot! shirts, flat colored T's or microfiber golf shirts and button downs.

shirt.woot manages to put out funny shirts without having to engage in that meme of the moment shit like every other site seems to.
...although lately they've been riding the meme shirt bandwagon more and more, which is sad.

Geek/man child (can't think of a less derogatory term) is the new cool :)

Somehow I get the feeling most of you grew up as bullies and haven't grown out of it if it really bothers you that someone would want to wear a shirt about what they like.

Represent.

I also wear sports T's (like the Adidas one above) and sports team T's or jerseys.

I also really, really love the "I survived X ride at X theme park!" T's. It's just the next level of crapyness that is off the chart. The shittier the ride and the theme park the better.

I dig shirts with logos from fictional companies (InGen, Weyland, Cyberdyne, etc)

GAF hates on just about everything, you get used to it.

I hate printed ts because they never, ever drape or fit the male form well. Ever. And they needlessly pull focus away from the face. Nothing good for your body + nothing good for your face = blegh!

Cut them into dropped wormhole, skank tanks, and I might have a slightly different opinion of them.

Agreed, but I sew all of my shirts to be skintight, so I'm good on that front.

Strange. Like so many other discussions on GAF I don't feel that I either need to pick between the two.
I like my goofy man-child t-shirts, just like I like my plain white and black t-shirts and tank tops.
I don't see the point in picking the one or the other.

I have a Socially Awkward Penguin T-Shirt which I love. I genuinely love that stupid meme, and I laugh at them all the time because I see myself. Of course I am gonna support shit that I love. But I also wear plain white tees and clean blue jeans. And sometimes I wear joggins with old jizz on it.. but thats only on sundays!!

anyway.. my point is. you can be more than one person, you know. Some of you sound very boring and pretentious. Lighten the hell up, and don't take life so seriously. Appreciate dumb shit sometimes. Then perhaps you will quote my posts!!

Yup. Most of my wardrobe is sold-color tees and such, but I love my silly man-child stuff as well. Like this shirt I just got in the mail yesterday and am wearing right now:

Also quite fond of my Magi's Tower Fangamer t-shirt (I have the dusk-color one):

I got this from redbubble;

MagiKarp is an acronym for drinking Magic Carpets with some of my friends. I had never tried before, and I thought the drink was named after the pokemon, but it turns out it's just call that. Not because of the pokemons.

Initially I was actually hunting a T-shirt sporting this old picture which made me laugh back in the day;

270909744_cd078aad8f.jpg

But I couldn't find any T-Shirts with the print, and I didn't have a high rez enough jpeg to make my own at some custom t-shirt archive.

I also wanted something with Goldeen, the most hilarious useless pokemon (tie on Shoe on the South Park episode spoof of Pokemon)!

I always wear plain shirts but I bought these recently. I don't normal buy these kinds of shirts and I know people are going to lynch me but what do you guys think for a one off?

Besides a few sport team shirts im not one for alot of big images on my shirts but I reall like those.

Most geeky shirt I have and I won't wear it out of my house.

I really don't care for shirts that are 'busy'. Most of what I hvae are just one colored tee's or polo's. But then I see something magical.

I agree they do too much GoT, but it's still nowhere near the amount of Dr Who I see. They need to stop having Dr Who shirts forever. Or at least for a couple months.

I was in a bar/club in San Miguel, Mexico and this dude had the most awesome shirt on. It was the crucifixion of Christ and the design wrapped around the whole shirt, is there any way I could get that made or does anybody even remotely have an idea of what I am talking about?
