What is your favorite E3 crowd reaction?

Nintendo 2004 E3, no contest. When this happened:

Just to put me in context, did nobody really expect or predict TP to be announced at that event? I guess surprises like that could only happen in a pre-social-media world...

Actually it kinda was leaked few hours before on the IGN forums by Cassamassima with his infamous "Hot or not" thread lol.

Twilight Princess is emperically the correct response, but watching the Zelda orchestra in 2011 with reactions from the audience did kind of make me a bit teary eyed. Even more so when I saw the performance in person.

Vita AT&T

Vita AT&T was the only time I've ever heard an audience at a major conference actually express displeasure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cZ67R5tRfU

Absolutely. I sighed when I heard him say it, but hearing the audible boo from the audience threw me into a fit of laughter. Then I just felt bad for him. Talk about not knowing your audience. AT&T has great coverage in a lot of the US, but LA and SF are not places on that list.

Twilight Princess announcement.

This will never be topped. I was lucky enough to be there and had been given a little primer regarding the trailer so I knew what it was immediately before most of the crowd was fully clued in. I was going nuts!

Any orchestra performance where an (always american) crowd is yelling and cheering is by definition HORRIBLE.

Final fantasy 14

......

Online.

Hahaha, seriously. That trailer was hype with "OMG THAT'S BEING DONE ON PS3?"

Then "Online."

"Oh." I think that was the collective reaction the world over.

To clarify, the live performance had a much more respectful audience, but I think it's unfair to judge the E3 attendees too harshly on this. They didn't exactly know they'd be watching an orchestra going into that particular press conference. In that case, I felt the cheers added a lot of excitement to it, but I do agree that it would've been inapproapreate during the real performance (which wasn't my experience at all).

Is it my imagination or is there a video of the Twilight Princess reaction that shows someone crying in the audience afterwards? I swear I've seen something like that but for the life of me I've never been able to find it on YouTube.

It could be it was just so awesome that my mind invented it.

I know I've seen a video where you can see someone crying. But like you I can only find the posted one with the screaming.

That's your favorite?

Really?

*That's* your favorite?

You have weird taste.

Yes because it's hilarious, tragic and very sad all rolled up into one big ball. A bunch of guys yelling at a Zelda game is none of it. Maybe a bit sad.

( EDIT: I know it isn't actually E3 but I think it can be allowed considering what the event is, when it took place etc. )

"WHO'S THE MAN!!! WHO'S THE MAAAAN!!!" shout alone during the Twilight Princess reveal is enough to make it the best one.

Imagine at E3 2014, Nintendo goes back to a Conference instead of a Direct and shows off Zelda Wii U with the tech demo art style and the trailer is full of hype and got the same reactions....That would be awesome.

Definitely Twilight Princess and SSBB
My favorite negative reaction has to be FFXIV, it went from cheers to the now famous, "Online? What the Hell?"
