never ignored someone on gaf. i put one user on ignore on another forum, but that was because of incessant shock images, which he got banned for anyway.

Pointless to use since people quote trolls more than the serious discussions.
I feel Gaf has less trolls, and more people seeking gratification for their sharp yet predictable whit.

I don't use it. Ive never even thought about using it. I am sometimes amused by ridiculous comments and don't let posts/ posters get under my skin. Really this place is pretty awesome as far as posting content. Especially compared to other places on the Internet.

I dont use ignore at all. I am able to ignore posts I dont like, if I need to.
Well at least I did until yesterday or the day before. Then I ignore-listed Aguirre. Glas he's banned, purposely shitting up threads with a dumb persona and shtick. So annoying.

I never use the ignore list.
Just because someone says something I disagree with in one thread doesn't mean they won't have something to contribute in another thread. Even trolls can have their moment of clarity.
Anyone who uses it has a very thin skin and needs to develop their internal ignore feature a bit better.

I used to use the ignore list more for people who seemed overly trollish. Then I realized it was dumb because I would just end up clicking to see their posts in the end anyways. I basically freed them all from my ignore dungeon recently. Now it's just a couple of annoying avatars....that might have changed anyway.

My ignore list is massive. No one who is even halfway intelligent is on there. There are certain people I don't want to interact with. If anyone feels the same way about me, that's fine. It's a free country. Or forum, in this case...
