What is your ideal look for your body?

Fuck, this thread is either making me want to improve my physique or slowly turning me gay. I'm not quite sure.

As for an ideal:

Fit enough to be comfortable walking around without a shirt but not quite large enough I won't ever be able to fit inside of a shirt anymore.

What's crazy is that I could probably look like that in under 3 years (minus the insanity of the abs, perhaps), but I'm so lazy. :P I have the frame and the genetics for it. I'm actually broader than him naturally.

I was blown away when i found out this was Flash from the original Spiderman movie.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Chris Hemsworth in Thor.

To have the mass but still maintain a slim waist, now that's amazing. Of course, even he admitted that it wasn't possible for him to keep that physique long-term.

Frank McGrath (the first guy in the first pics I posted, see below) has a size 29 waist. pretty fucking mind blowing IMO.

hard to believe, but these stats are always taken when BBers compete so it's legit.

^^Not trying to be an ass, but I don't understand how people find this appealing at all. Like... why?

different people like different things?

I don't understand how you could possibly find Donnie Yen appealing...yet you do.

different strokes for different folks.

edit: even when I was a kid, I remember going to art museums and seeing statues off swole ass Greek gods...I was mirin

Arnold said in an interview once that his infatuation with bodybuilding was heavily rooted in the depiction of Greek gods. for some people, they'll see such depictions and immediately strive to look like em.

Well he IS a great martial artist, handsome guy, and imo ideal physique to me. But "bigger is better" to some, I guess.

and yeah for me, bigger is better. I don't expect you to understand it. only hope you'd realize not everyone is like you, and some people like different shit than you. it's really a pretty basic concept.

also, I LOVE how it feels when I add muscle mass. feels fucking powerful bro.

Stereotypically man. If you are gym rat, like a person who's trying to reach bodybuilder status, you think you are going to have a lot of time to go out, drink or go on vacations and shit? No. Your concern is going to be to lift a couple of hours a day, sleep early so you get a good night's rest, and eat your meals every couple of hours so you get the calories and specific macros you want. Many women don't like that and they'll stereotype buff guys to being like that. Doesn't mean it's true. but that explains why some would rather just bang buff dudes than do anything serious with them. Girls want a guy that they can hang out with and shit, not someone who is obsessed with their physique and the gym.

This is so wrong on every single level lol.

I was just asking why. Pretty basic concept. Not just "i like it cause i like it".

I think Horton is my ideal. Big enough that it shows slightly even when he's earing normal clothes, but not big enough to affect his flexibility.
Also...the fact that he's 55 blows my mind.

I think something like these would be pretty ideal for me:

Just gotta work on building a bit of muscle and I'll have it. Oh and I need to work on mah butt too because a nice ass is super important. Aside from wanting nice abs and a nicer butt, I'm pretty happy with where I am physically.

I'd be more than happy with this. And a martini.

Considering my ridiculously barrelly chest I think that is about the best I could hope for. Not that there is anything wrong with it at all :) It's just not quite my ideal body type.

Like DarthWufei.

LOL there are plenty of pics of him on google, and fallingedge in the results too lol. Maybe he is a famous porn actor

DarthWufei has put in the work, damn.

Don't make me post the picture of Ronnie Coleman doing the splits. For all our sakes I'll keep it to this one:

Being big doesn't necessarily make you slow, stiff and "un-functional", that's a myth invented to sell DVDs.

You do have bigger and heavier body. Those are simple physics. Rich Froning (Crossfit champion) put on a lot more muscle once for more strenght, but it heavily limited his olympics gymnastics excercises, so he had to go down.

Now I'm not saying you can barely move if you're big, but all that additional muscle doesn't exist in vacum. It weights a lot and takes a lot of space

Yep takes a lot of oxygen to work those muscles. Wonder why most fighters are more lean instead of insanely ripped? There are exceptions, especially when steroids are involved, but being massive is not ideal.

Donnie Yen is too skinny for my ideal type. Dood still looks good though.

My goal atm, Hiroshi Tanahashi.

This would be ideal for me and my body type. If I weren't such a lazy goob it might even be possible.
