John Harker
Definitely doesn't make things up as he goes along.
They haven't been in the Kodak for years. They use the Nokia theatre, including for a show at last E3.
Ah, yea, the Nokia, what I meant

Nobody is expecting an overwhelming amount of surprises, but to think that Nintendo will have nothing exciting to show besides Zelda is ludicrous.
Ah, yea, the Nokia, what I meant
Wii U:
-NFC games
-Zelda trailer
-Tons of information about X and a release date
-New Bayonetta 2 trailer
-Smash trailer with multiple newcomers and a release date(counts for both Wii U and 3DS obviously)
-New update announcement
-Launch list of GBA and DS VC games
-Indie titles
-Possibly info about Yarn Yoshi and SMTxFE
-Release dates for Sonic Boom and Hyrule Warriors
3DS:
-Sequel to early 3DS title
-More eshop titles
-3rd party games being published by Nintendo in the west
-Release date for PLvsAA
-New update announcement
-3rd party games like the new Harvest Moon and Atlus titles
-One or two first party holiday titles to go with Smash
And yet, so many people do. Imagine that.
Probably never gonna happen, but you have no idea the amount of money nintendo would make off of the pokemon property with a good F2P model! The fact that the IP has over 700 pokemon to collect I see a gold mine for monitizaton.
-No 3D its not needed, just High res update to gameboy presentation
-Players only interact with each other in town
-In town users can chat, as well as get and return quests.
-In Town is where they use: auction house, hospital,PVP Arena, mailbox, cash shop
-Towns are separated by large Fields (which are instanced)
-Pokemon are randomly encountered in fields
-Players level up both a trainer and pokemon from battle and questing
-Limit Trainer level cap to number of collected pokemon
-Pokemon level limited by trainer cap of course
-Pokemon require pokeballs to capture. (capture success based on RNG)
-Limited amount of free Pokeballs, pvp arena passes, daily
-More are earned from quests or dropped by wild pokemon
-More can be purchased from NPCs with in game currency.
ANd then
-Sell additional Pokeballs
-Sell tickets to Pokemon game preserve (durational access to feild with exotic pokemon)
-Sell additional Ranked PvP arena tickets
-Sell additional Pokemon Revives at Hospital (whole set)
-Sell in field single pokemon revives
-Sell Random Pokemon Egg - 1 of 100 random pokemon (list updated monthly)
-Sell Bike (for faster travel)
-Sell trading/mailing passes
-Sell additional AH listings
And I could go on and on. like I said SO MUCH money in this IP if Nintendo ever took it F2P MMO style. Even just the cut paste Korean design would print money.
How exactly is Metroid a dead franchise? Hell, Miyamoto's even used it as an example numerous times of a franchise that will benefit from HDcrtl +F: "realistically"
crtl + F: "Metroid/Star Fox/F-Zero/*other assorted dead franchises*"
lol
Ah, yea, the Nokia, what I meant
I've said this before, Wii U could become a PS4 add-on. No acquisition though, just a Win-Win deal. They could show up at the Sony conference as a recent acquisition (in my fantasy world).
realistic predictions
Wii U:
New games:
-Zelda will be there. I'm hoping it's a trailer, but wouldn't be surprised if they just bring some concept art for this year. It'll be a late 2015 game.
-Super Mario Galaxy HD Collection will be announced for an October 2014 release date.
-Miyamoto will mention that he is hard at work on his new game, but will have nothing to show.
-Super Mario 3D World DLC. Similar to New Super Luigi U, just a whole bunch of new levels. Summer 2014 release.
Old games:
-Their biggest game will be Smash Bros U. It will be playable, and Pac Man will be announced at the show. I'm praying this same build with be playable at Best Buys across North America during E3 week
-X will be there, playable. No release date to announce... which is a fancy way of saying 2015 in North America.
-First footage of SMTxFE. Also 2015.
-New Bayonetta 2 demo. Summer 2014 release.
-Hyrule Warriors playable demo. Fall 2014 release for North America.
-Yarn Yoshi will be there, playable. 2014 release.
Everyone will be pissed because most of the games were already announced. Deal with it. January 2013 Nintendo Direct was the once in a generation, god tier event.
3DS
New games:
-Majora's Mask 3D. November 2014. THIS IS THE YEAR BABY.
-New Super Metroid. 2015.
-Pokemon Z. Probably announced before E3, but we'll get some new info. October 2014.
-Super Mario 2D platformer that is not a NSMB game. This is my bold prediction. It'll be two years since the last 2D Mario come this November, and since they've said they only release one NSMB per platform, they're going to create a new 2D Mario series. Gotta keep dat Mario momentum going. 2014 release.
Old games:
-Smash 3DS will be playable. 2015 release. Unnecessary to release two Smash games at the same time, and Mario/Pokemon will be their big holiday games for the 3DS.
-Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will be playable. Maybe.
3DS will kick ass this E3. Unlike Wii U, it doesn't really have many games coming in the near/distant future that are already announced, so I'm expecting this E3 to have a ton of new game announcements.
There's still the NFC stuff and I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo showed off indie games this. Also, I would be surprised if we got a new Pokemon game this year since they seem to skip the year after a new gen starts these days.
You're probably right. For some reason I thought a new Pokemon was released every year, but I think I was getting my Japan/North America dates mixed up (Usually a game would come out one year in Japan, and the next in North America). Now that they seem to be sticking to a worldwide simultaneous launch with these games, Z seems more likely for a 2015 launch.
Which means I'm doubling down on my 2D Mario for 3DS prediction. It'll be their major title for the holiday season on 3DS. What else could realistically fill that slot this year?
