I didn't really get into the God of War series until the buildup to III but the logo always stood out to me.

How about the CS logo?

FFS, after all these years I realize the pose in the CS logo is a horizontally mirrored lambda (Half-life logo).

I also find the logo's with just the name to be slightly cheating as a large part why they're memorable is only because they have the title right there.

I'd give the top spot to the Mortal Kombat logo as even non gamers recognize it.

Exactly what I came to say. Including names makes it a font competition.

If you do include logos with names as the most memorable, Pokemon definitely wins. People who no longer play it still recognise that logo from a mile away.

Edit: actually Pacman has to win. The character is the logo, he's been around forever, and that's pretty unbeatable.
